No one is addressing ballot access if Biden is replaced.

With all the back and forth about replacing Biden, no one seems to be talking about ballot access and how they would address it - if Biden was replaced.

As of now a few states have closed the window on adding a new name to the ballot. The deadlines have passed. By the time the DNC rolls around - most states will have had their deadlines pass.

Which means Joe Biden's name will remain. in some cases, even in death.

So, wouldn't you think this is a major issue? No one is talking about it through.

By state law, if he’s removed for any reason except death, Trump gets Wisconsin.

I think that a case could be made that States need to adjust laws. If Biden is not the nominee then the state was presumptuous in printing the ballot. Or the Sh#tocrats should have had their convention earlier.

Biden is not the nominee yet. So should not be on a ballot.

The real issue is that Federal election laws prevent the Bidet/Hairass campaign from transferring the cash collected to the new candidate

No names can be officially added until the conventions ... even Trump’s. This is a non-issue until they become the official nominees.

The first election date is September 16th in Pennsylvania, that’s when people can start voting.

I believe they can transfer the money to whomever they want.

But they have to agree to do so.

I don’t see Biden doing that. Harris might night either.

Years ago, in Illinois of all places, Adlai Stevenson won the nomination, but withdrew because a Larouchite candidate won the Lt. Gov. spot, and they had to run together. This forced Stevenson to run on he Solidarity Party ticket, and the Democrats had “Mark Fairchild”. He won over the anointed Dem “George Sangmeister” because the Dems fell asleep over Lt Governor, and “Mark Fairchild” is a normal name.

Once again, you don't vote for President or Vice President. You vote for your State's Electors.

Seems ambiguous when a person's name is on the ballot, not just a political party

By state law, . . .

By the Constitution, the State legislatures have the duty and responsibility to determine election rules, yet in several States (key swing states in particular) non-legislative-branch actors (typically the various Secretaries of State) were changing election rules even after election day.

Rules are no impediment to the Dhimms, nor to Dhimm-perspective judges.

Campaign contribution limits apply. At least that is what it looked when I looked it up. They can keep it for a future campaign, return it, pay campaign debts and remaining expenses and debts. But just giving it to another candidate. They can’t just transfer it.

Biden legally changes his name to Biden, Hillary, Gavin, Barack, Kamala, etc, etc. so when the libs pick the candidate any vote for Biden is a vote for the new guy!

Ballots have to be printed in time to mail absentee ballots to Americans abroad. This includes military personnel. Late returning military absentees have been a running scandal for many years. So: there is a drop dead date for printing ballots. After that, people have to write in a late switch.

In many States, the ballot reads "Electors for John Smith for President and James Doe for Vice President".

Regardless of the wording on the ballot, the principle is the same in all States.

Democrats cheat and believe that laws only apply to Republicans. Besides they will say it is racist and Republican voter suppression to keep Biden on the ballot.

Irrelevant.

It’s of no importance who is “on the ballot” because the voters don’t choose the President, the Electors appointed by the State Legislature do.

There are no “Presidential elections” in the Constitution, no “running”, no “being nominated”, no “being on the ballot”, no “calling a state”, no “conceding” - there is one Presidential election, recently on the second Monday in December, there are 538 voters who meet in 51 separate locations on the same day and choose the President.

The NJ Torricelli/Lautenberg precedent is meaningless because in NJ and in the other 49 states the voters elect the Senator directly, so it requires mischief to count Torricelli votes as votes for Lautenberg.

But for appointing NJ Electors in 2024? That is a reserved plenary power of the State Legislature, NOT the voters, and while in normal times the result of voting in November and the appointment of Electors is aligned, these are not normal times and there is NOTHING in the Constitution that transfers the choice of Electors away from the State Legislature.

a bit of good news regading this issue:

Heritage Foundation working on election legal challenges in case Biden pulled from DNC nomination
‘You can’t just swap’ a presidential candidate out: Jason Chaffetz
Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz joins ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ to discuss the alarm bells ringing for Democrats following President Biden’s debate performance.

A major conservative activist group is preparing for legal battles in case the Democratic Party chooses to pull President Biden out of the running before or after he becomes the nominee.

The Heritage Foundation, one of the United States’ most prominent and well-connected conservative activist groups, is laying the groundwork in case a sudden switch-up in the Democratic roster sparks a legal war.

“We are monitoring the calls from across the country for President Biden to step aside, either now or before the election, and have concluded that the process for substitution and withdrawal is very complicated,” Executive Director of The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project Mike Howell said in a statement. “We will remain vigilant that appropriate election integrity procedures are followed.”
