American geologist Frank Kimbler ,passionate about ufology, has been searching with a metal detector since 2010 the area around the town of Roswell in New Mexico, famous for the fact that a strange object fell from the sky there in 1947.
Officially, the US authorities stated that it was a secret military weather balloon that monitored nuclear weapons tests. However, most ufologists and ordinary people believe that an alien ship with a crew crashed there.
That the wreckage of the ship was taken away by the military and subsequently carefully studied, and among the crew there were one or two survivors, who were then interrogated and received a lot of valuable information from them.
This theory is supported by the words of several dozen people, some of whom, as they say, were involved in transporting the debris, studying the bodies of the dead crew , or even talked with a surviving alien.

My uncle was a cub reporter in Roswell NM in 1947. I didn’t find this out until I read his obit. So when I get to heaven, God willing, I’ll be looking for 1st, Jesus, 2nd my son, and 3 my uncle to ask him what he knows about this.
Sorry, the crash at Roswell and the “crash” on the Plains of St. Augustin, were errant A-4 (V-2) rockets launched from White Sands. The Air Force didn’t want the general public that we had actual Nazis that had run Slave Labor Camps in charge of this program. Von Braun was working on Civilian stuff. These guys were strictly military.
Even Lonnie Zamora’s sighting was part of a top secret space craft, the Surveyor Program.

I don’t know what actually happened in 1947, but recent interviews with US Navy pilots are very compelling. Supposedly the sightings over DC in 1952 were captured by radar going thousands of miles per hour.
I am partial to the UFO crash in Aurora, Texas in 1897.
Took almost one hundred years for anyone to attempt a semi serious investigation into the incident.
The grave marker for the “pilot” was removed 30-40 some odd years ago from the Aurora cemetery
