I am partial to the UFO crash in Aurora, Texas in 1897.

Took almost one hundred years for anyone to attempt a semi serious investigation into the incident.

The grave marker for the “pilot” was removed 30-40 some odd years ago from the Aurora cemetery

The 1897 incident was definitely humans—but a fascinating story for sure—it will be as hard to swallow for folks around here as alien UFOs:
