(Discern Report Newsletter)—The weeping and gnashing of teeth can almost be heard in the opening sentence of a recent article on left-wing propaganda outlet Axios: “Democrats no longer hold the robust advantage among Latinos they once did on immigration, according to a new poll.”
Not only is their advantage no longer “robust,” it’s non-existent. An Equis poll of 1,592 registered Latino voters showed 41% trust Donald Trump on immigration compared to only 38% trusting Joe Biden.
Perhaps even more foreboding to Democrats than the shocking poll numbers are the reasons cited for why Latinos are switching sides: “Broken Promises” about the border. The constant gaslighting by people like Kamala Harris, Alejandro Mayorkas, Karine Jean-Pierre, and Biden himself has taken its toll due to the bald-faced lie about the border being “secured.”
It’s not secured and only the most devoted Democrat cultist would be deluded enough to think so.
The poll was practically a “push poll” that was intended to sway voters into favoring Biden over Trump so it’s very likely the real numbers are actually worse for Democrats. They simply cannot be trusted to keep anyone safe, Latino or not.
The iron is hot. The Trump campaign needs to strike, and to some extent they are doing just that. This month, they launched Latinos for Trump with a robust list of goals and calls to action to help educate Hispanic Americans about the lies they’ve been told for decades by Democrats.
The most important messages Republicans can echo are:
They’re not opposed to immigrants, just illegal aliens.
Their policies are not racist, they simply promote the rule of law.
Hispanic American citizens will benefit the most under another Trump administration just as they thrived during his first term.
If Republicans in general and the Trump campaign in particular raise the border crisis as their primary concern while reiterating the importance of Hispanic American citizens in the coalition, we could be looking at an historic landslide in November.

Why shouldn’t they? I mean someone who came here legally and followed the rules, should be the most against illegal immigration.
US citizens born elsewhere do not want to be crushed by criminal elements of their old countries. Or any countries.

Yes this is a shock poll, to the Liberals. To the Liberals Hispanics are supposed to be all in favor of illegal immigration.
The liberals and media are shocked that Hispanics are not all in on masses of illegal aliens flooding across our border.
The democrats are convinced that race is the most important thing for a voter. They seem to have forgotten that Bill Clinton said it best. It’s the economy, Stupid.
The legal Hispanics don’t want the country saturated with illegals. They came here to escape the problems that these illegals are bringing here.

Ask any Hispanic that actually works for a living what they think about illegals and you will get an earful.
It is a worldwide invasion. Nobody wants that.

It’s been known for a long time that legal Hispanic immigrants HATE the illegals.
Who do illegals most compete with for jobs?
How many registered Hispanic voters in battleground states are themselves illegal?

Why is it shocking? Sounds exactly what I would expect. Hispanics who are here legally hate Biden’s open borders as much as any other group. Maybe more.
“Shocking” only to racists who expect racism from everyone else. Just because they are Hispanic doesn’t mean they want millions of illegal Hispanics getting a free ride at citizens expense. Quite the opposite actually and entirely rational. Plus, it’s not like it is just Hispanics coming across the border. The entire world is invading the USA. Just because whites aren’t tribal doesn’t mean the rest of the world isn’t.

Many of the ones I know well are far far more to the right than most of the “conservatives” I know.
Liberals seem to think that Americans of Mexican lineage consider themselves somehow still Mexicans. They are incorrect. I knew enough born Americans with Mexican ancestors to learn the truth about that when I grew up in L.A. They do not consider themselves Mexicans at all. They don’t want the flood of illegals. A few do, but a small minority.
You are correct. The legal latino community have suffered more than the white community due to the illegals. They are angry.
My wife is from Mexico but a USA citizen for over 50 years. It took her brother 15 years to get citizenship because he did it the legal way.
