You might mean this one ... Great job by all except poor mumbling Bob but he gets a lot of slack since he is an incredible writer and poet. If all those artists and the Beatles loved him he can’t be all that bad.

“Tangled up in Blue” It’s like a movie put to words and music.

Mumbling mumbling. Listen to this Patsy Kline interpretation (written by Pee Wee King, Chilton Price and Redd Stewart)

So was 'Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts' - same album. In fact Dylan commissioned a screenplay for it and one other screenplay was written but somehow the film never got made.

They really liked it at San Quentin... I don’t know if I’ve ever heard Dylan do it.

I couldn't find one by just Dylan, but I found this one with Dylan and Cash.   (It is a "working" version, where it sounds like they were still working on the lyrics.)

My two favorite lines…one early, one late:

“Inside the museums, infinity goes up on rial
Voices echo this is what salvation must be like after awhile”

“My clothes are wet, tight on my skin
Not as tight as the corner that I’ve painted myself in”

And then there was my father’s favorite verse:

“Now the rainman gave me two cures
Then he said, “Jump right in”
The one was Texas medicine
The other was just railroad gin
And like a fool I mixed them
And it strangled up my mind
And now people just get uglier
And I have no sense of time”

From a story I heard somewhere, Mark Knopfler was really really unhappy with him for not including “Blind Willie McTell” on Infidels.

Excellent sourced version! Have from good authority that Tom Petty and George Harrison thought that Neil Young was a bit over the top jerk with his solo.
Eric Clapton was pure class.

I had a friend whose favorite Dylan line was “Give me a string-bean I’m a hungry man...” I’m serious... he loved that line.

I had another friend who wrote his Master’s Thesis in English at Sac. State on the line “The sun’s not yellow, it’s chicken.” I’m serious, he wrote a whole Master’s thesis on just that line.
