I agree that The Speaker seems suddenly to have changed. Blackmail has often been discussed as a tactic used by Democrats (when you arrive in DC) I’ve been hearing those rumors for 4 decades.

I heard Johnson on Levin’s radio show, and he made a logical, reasoned, and compelling argument on how we ‘had to win’ first, to be able to do things... then I realized he made a logical, reasoned, and compelling argument- for selling out his base.

You can ‘win’ every time, if you always vote with your opponent.

Agreed. These are career moves. They are not quitting out of principle.

His staffers quit because they don’t want to work for a compromised, nutless fag who will fold on every demoncrap demand, and who will prove to be 47’s biggest backstabbing RINO.

Guy’s a fag.

Yes. A blind man could see this with a cane.

Mike Johnson. Brought to you by….(drum roll)…Matt Gaetz, and Donald Trump!

Guess you haven’t figured that part out yet. Yeah, I used to love those guys too, but this is no time for emotion. At some point you have to look at the actual scoreboard, and not the dog and pony show we’re presented.

This is supposed to be a forum for intelligent discussion - not name-calling. You sound like a democrat. Someone politely calls you outon ‘the rules’ so you attack them.

The irony is lost on you.

I suspect that Johnson has realized that MTG and his conservative critics have a point in saying that Johnson has been led astray by staff holdovers from the McCarthy era. If so, then these staff exits are a chance to reboot Johnson’s speakership.

Perhaps, but I doubt it. These staffers certainly are not a big loss as far as I am concerned. Hopefully they become ineffective lobbyists, and lose their new found higher-paying positions. They are obvious part of the problem, not solutions to problems.🙂👍

The three letter agencies that run our lives, control every elected representative in office. That control is complete. It became visible when Hillary had the 800 FBI files on her targets she wanted managed. Today those files are digital and databases in searchable form. Until the unelected agency personnel are prosecuted, disbanded, de-funded, and burned to ash, they will continue to rule over us all instead of that role being the job of our elected representatives.

Going Galt will be impossible once digital currencies replace paper banking.

Intelligent name-calling is permitted. (smiley face)

Stop.

McCarthy and Johnson both suck. Gaetz tried to make a change and we got the same result. That doesn't mean that Gaetz trying to make a change wasn't the right move given the situation. It was indeed the reasonable thing to do.

Mike Johnson. Brought to you by….(drum roll)… Donald Trump!...

Trump's MO on most every issue (possibly all issues) is to take various tentacles of the deep state cabal, put aspects front and center for us to see, so that aspect destroys itself. McCarthy, Johnson, fill in the next blank, Barr, Pence, FBI, DOJ, legal system as a whole, election system, Afghanistan, CIA, classified documents, and on and on...

Thus, DJT has a good record in this exposure. In fact, this is how the swamp is drained.

I've posted before links to a ***US Treasury gov web page*** that documents around 20 relevant swamp-draining EO's with instances of their usage to "Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List". Another page for upwards of 1,000,000 sealed and unsealed indictments. This is behind-the-scenes swamp draining corresponding to DSC outing in the news.

Is this really a shock? The legislative season is pretty much over. Johnson won’t be speaker after the next election. His staffers were offered nice jobs at a lobbying agency. It makes sense to me.

Yup. No way Johnson will win a speakership vote in 2025.

For the most part the only time one hears about Congressional ”staffers” is when one of them gets in trouble or embarrasses his boss. Otherwise they seem to be interchangeable. So these guys got together and made a deal with some outside firm, and moved on. They will be replaced shortly. Life goes on.

In my opinion, the staffers did their job to betray us. Now they’re getting out before they can be punished and taking their bribe money. Big jobs which big lobbyists paying far more than speaker Johnson’s job. Isn’t that what they all do?

Hopefully they will be replaced by people who are tired of the corruption rampant at all levels of government now quite obviously present, instead of those who are willing to do anything to enrich themselves.

The whole game is rigged, it’s a charade. The deepstate uses their time to threaten, bully, cajole, and compromise every legislator against self rule. There are about 50 they can’t get to. Not nearly enough to save the USA.
