Perhaps, but I doubt it. These staffers certainly are not a big loss as far as I am concerned. Hopefully they become ineffective lobbyists, and lose their new found higher-paying positions. They are obvious part of the problem, not solutions to problems.🙂👍
For the most part the only time one hears about Congressional ”staffers” is when one of them gets in trouble or embarrasses his boss. Otherwise they seem to be interchangeable. So these guys got together and made a deal with some outside firm, and moved on. They will be replaced shortly. Life goes on.
I never realized it before but staffers are incredibly powerful. They do all the work, prepare the information they want to be put forth, and present it to the congressperson or Senator in a neat little package, who in turn, espouse it and vote accordingly. I’m sure every congress critter doesn’t operate that way, but I’m betting most do. They’re too busy campaigning for the next election than doing the work themselves, especially House members.
