A veteran war crimes prosecutor told The Jerusalem Post that Israel and other countries have the legal obligation to prevent Hamas from carrying out their stated goal of committing genocide against the Jewish People.
Former United States Justice Department Office of Special Investigations director Eli Rosenbaum’s 38-year career placed him in the role of prosecuting Rwandans, Russians, and Nazis for war crimes.
Rosenbaum said that not only does Israel have the right to eliminate Hamas, “but Israel has a legal obligation under international law as a signatory of the Genocide Convention [1948, the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide].”
“The treaty obligates all signatory nations not just not to commit genocide and punish it, but to prevent it,” said Rosenbaum.

Israel should put the Gazan teachers and preachers of hatred on trial. They are just small-scale Joseph Goebbels.
The problem of Jew hatred in Gaza extends far beyond HAMAS.
He is right!
Plenty of so-called “Christians” in the Middle East and elsewhere hate Jews too.
Jew Hatred is demonic at it’s source.
I encounter it almost daily with insipid comments, jabs, and ignorant statements.
Maybe they’re not brainwashed over there like we are, and know the real history.
Is Christian hatred demonic?
Who is the synagogue of satan?
Are you saying Palestinian teachers teaching hate for Jews are not brainwashed?
Hope I’m misunderstanding you.
Did the War on Terror eliminate Al Qaeda?
No, and we will bear the fruits for half-assing the job.
Among some extreme Jewish zealots in Israel, Christians are hated as well, with priests and visiting Christians often spit upon or otherwise attacked in some neighborhoods. Notably though, this is broadly recognized in Israeli society as wrong and perverse, and there are Christian and Muslim Arabs in Israel who proudly identify as Israeli citizens and volunteer for the military or other form of national service. They realize that as non-Jewish Israeli citizens, they have opportunities and rights that are unique in the region. In that sense, Israel is a positive example and a force for change in the Middle East.
There used to be a slogan. “NEVER AGAIN!”. Guess there are those who now dismiss that. Well, not really a guess. My new one is: “ From the Jordan to the Med all hamas-sholes should be dead!”
I’m digging your tagline, very reminiscent of what is going on.
We are called to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and bless Israel.
Yes, they are “blinded” for now - but that will change.
See Romans 11:25; Luke 21:24; John 10:16; Isaiah 11 & 12.
You also have to remember that Christ said “love your enemies and pray for them”. Luke 6:27; Luke 6:35
Would you pray for a guy that raped and murdered your daughter?
“ Plenty of so-called “Christians” in the Middle East and elsewhere hate Jews too.”
I have run into a couple here on FR.
One a holocaust denier.
Thank you. And very good post. That Rosenbaum did a hell of a job finding Nazis. Any caught more than a little bit of flack for doing it.
Don’t get the idea that the subject of this article had anything to do with the Nuremberg trials (which the amateurish headline might lead one to believe). He wasn’t even born yet, and the last Nuremberg prosecutor, Ben Ferencz, died in April of ‘23.
No kidding
“ love your enemies and pray for them”
I love that the ragheads are getting some justice and pray that God will administer his holy justice to the murderous cave people
