Just say they are eating knives like everyone carried back in the dark ages, which England is rapidly reverting to.

Again, focusing on objects instead of the perps - never ends well.
Cars don’t “drink drive” (UK term) themselves.
Knives don’t stab people on their own.
Guns don’t levitate themselves and just “go off” in crowds of people.
Delusion - it’s not just a river in Egypt.

My 7 yoa grandson loves knifes.
I think he owns 10 or so.
I am building a survival fanny pack for him. It is going to inclued a six in Western brand hunting knife.
I will hone it to be razor sharp.
He will love it.
To: bigbob
Did you mean to say, “eating WITH knives”?

And they were going to make this guy James Bond?
Bond would have suggested the Walther PPK as the simplest solution to "knife crime". :)

aged 16 and under were arrested for the possession of a knife or other sharp implements such as screwdrivers, carving forks or shards of glass
Unless they are going to ban everything, innovative people/'children' can always find alternatives.
Thus, banning does not resolve the problem. It is only a band-aid to a much bigger problem; a problem the policy-makers don't want to address.

When the UK outlawed guns, everyone joked that they would outlaw knives next.
Losers.

I got my first pocketknife in 1962, when I was 7. Still have a clearly visible scar on my left forefinger from when I learned not to cut toward myself, the first week I had it. I’ve carried one or more knives every day since then, in school and elsewhere (except for places like airplanes and courthouses).
Good for your grandson not to believe all of the bad-knives propaganda. Too bad schools have become so wussified about ordinary tools.

When I was in Middle School, one of the shop projects we could build was a hunting knife. Not a single person got stabbing. The only bloody incident I ever recall in shop was when a kid cut off his index finger on a table saw.
