A 2018 letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyers admitting Trump knew nothing about the Stormy Daniels ‘hush money’ transaction re-emerged as the judge set the trial for April 15.
Last year the Daily Mail obtained a 2018 letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyer stating Cohen used his own personal money to pay Porn Star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
The letter also states that the Trump Org nor the Trump campaign reimbursed Michael Cohen for the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels.
This directly contradicts Cohen’s testimony – not surprising given Michael Cohen is a convicted perjurer.
Trump has been accused of paying Daniels ‘hush payments’ through his then-attorney Michael Cohen in a scheme to silence her and stop the story about their alleged affair from being published in the National Enquirer.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump with 34 felony counts related to the Stormy Daniels ‘hush payment’ transaction.

We don't need no stinking "evidence."
This is all bullshit. Regardless whether Trump knew, there are no laws against paying hush money to someone.
Want to know the real story, this is the story circulating online and what I have always believed to be true..Michael Cohen is the one that was having the affair with Stormy Daniels, since 2006, what Cohen was trying to do was extort money from the Trump Organization.
did they think it wouldn’t???
I believe it!
They’re going to find him guilty. The farce trial is so it looks legitimate to those not paying attention.
May this have any impact on the actual legal proceding?
Facts and law don’t matter. Trump will be tried and convicted by an all democrat jury, most or all of whom will have already decided to convict him before even getting picked for jury duty. Many democrats called for jury duty will be eager to serve so they can brag to their friends that they got to convict Trump.
Like the first rule in buying real estate, what matters most when waging lawfare is location, location and location. All of the lawfare currently being waged against Trump is in carefully selected all democrat forums. The only exception is the document case that had to be filed in Florida, where the documents were located. The left gets apoplectic whenever the Florida judge rules for Trump in that case.
Nothing like a good show trial to satisfy the far left democrat base.
Indeed it was no case it was a set up by Biden & Co. the MSM pimped it as hard as the could they are made of the same slime.
The case isn’t about the hush money payments themselves. It’s strictly about how they were categorized in records - business vs. personal expenses. Mischaracterization of them is a misdemeanor, mischaracterization with the intent to commit another crime (unstated last I knew - campaign finance violation?) is a felony.
So they’d have to prove (I assume) mischaracterization, that Trump did it, that there was another crime, the mischaracterization was in an effort to commit this other crime, and that the state has the power to use a federal crime as the basis for this state statute.

You are correct and Dennis Rodman is a position to confirm this. Broke last night. Bragg’s case is crashing and burning.
I thought they already found him guilty and were going to hold a trial to show us why???
Isn’t this what Clinton did to Paula Jones?
In a way, yes!
So, if Trump gave Cohen a retainer for legal services and booked it as a business expense, and the Cohen later uses that retainer money to get Clifford to sign an NDA without Trump knowing about it, then who's accountable for what?
Did Trump properly account for the retainer expense and Cohen misused the money? Is Trump still liable for Cohen's embezzlement of Trump's retainer?

That doesn't surprise me at all. Cohen was a conniver, tried to use his connection to Trump to benefit his pockets, and when Trump ran for President, and was elected, Cohen embellished what his relationship with POTUS would be in order to influence and promote his own business. He touted himself to prospective clients that he would be the go-between man for Trump. That info came out during his trial. I'd like to know how much Daniels actually got from that hush money, and what Cohen's cut was. Trump has been right for a very long time when he said, that if you wait long enough, someone who claims to be loyal to you, will betray you in the end.
NY Court, NY Judge, NY Jury. facts do not matter.
