BIDEN’S ABSTENTION
Powerline ^ | 25 Mar 2024 | Scott Johnson

We’ve traced the drift of President Biden and his team away from Israel toward the side of Hamas in the current war. You might say they’re selling Israel out, but it’s not clear what they’re getting in return. You might say they don’t know what they’re doing, but one fears that they do. They seek the survival of Hamas as Israel seeks to complete its campaign to eliminate it as a force in Gaza. Thus the administration’s abstention on the Ramadan ceasefire resolution adopted by the United Nations Security Council yesterday.

What has Ramadan got to do with it? Hinging the resolution on Ramadan adds an element of abasement and submission that ought to give one pause. The resolution (emphasis in original) “[d]emands an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan respected by all parties leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire, and also demands the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages…”

As Richard Goldberg observes in the New York Post, the required ceasefire has been detached from the return of hostages. You can have one without the other.

But that’s okay. Hamas said it is willing “to engage in an immediate prisoner exchange process that leads to the release of prisoners on both sides.”

Goldberg also observes that the resolution made no mention of October 7 or Hamas, let alone note Hamas is a terrorist organization, as if the world woke up one day in a vacuum outraged to find Israel at war in Gaza and Palestinian civilians in distress.

The Hill reports that U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield said Washington could not agree with the resolution because it did not condemn Hamas for Oct. 7. But she said they “fully support” other critical objectives in the measure, allowing for an abstention...

It’s not really complex. They are psychopaths and will always choose the course of maximum destruction. Their pay is their sick pleasure of seeing the world burn.

Like walking around a cornier to find a big guy pummeling a little guy. What happened before you rounded the corner?

Some might make an analogy to the situation in Ukraine.

What changed things was the Michigan primary and how many democrats there who were sympathetic to hamas abstained from voting.

Just one State like Michigan can sink Biden in November, even if Trump’s “Too big to steal” (if I’m remembering that right) campaign works, there are still going to be states with heavily democrat population centers where fraud can flip all of the delegates

Psychopaths don't necessarily seek the course of maximum destruction. They seek personal advantage.

>>You might say they’re selling Israel out <<

Did anyone think that this unprincipled POTUS would not do it?

April fools.

The D’s can’t lose Michigan anyway. Their Election Theft Machine is entrenched solid there. All of the Arab terrorist sympathizers could jump in the lane the day before the vote and stay there. The ETM would still declare the D ticket had won.

Netanyahu is corrupt. He is doing everything he can to stay in office so as avoid prison. War helps him, in his opinion. Bibi wants this war and he wants Palestine too.

This is in the hopes of stopping the Israelis from from going into Rafah.

Rafah was the intel center in Gaza. There was an article some time ago about a bunch of servers being removed but some remained.

Like the Hunter laptop, data there will show the extent to which the US colludes w/Hamas, who gets paid in return, and some evidence of the laundering operations there.
