Luntz, who isn't a Trump supporter, realizes that the American people do not want to see their country turn into a banana republic.
Americans do not want to see the party in power imprisoning political adversaries and confiscating their assets, not for clear crimes like murder or bribery, but rather based on novel and dubious interpretations of the law.
If the legal system can be weaponized against a former president, what hope does an ordinary American citizen have?

If Letitia seizes any of Trump’s properties, she is bound to make a big show of it. Democrats will celebrate it like the greatest victory since V-E Day. Most of the pundits will probably applaud (apart from Levin, Watters, Hannity and maybe Ingraham). Most Americans will not know the legal niceties of the case and how James and Engoron have twisted the law just to get Trump, and the mainstream media isn’t going to explain it to them.
Why does Trump even bother? Our country is going to hell and these bozos just Yap their gums.

There is absolutely no reason for ‘Wall Street’ or ‘Madison Avenue’ or the Financial District to be in New York any more.
All business can be done online from anywhere, even the backwoods of Colorado if necessary. New York City has outlived its usefulness and is an anachronism.
All those companies and banks could and should relocate ASAP, for their own safety and they would save tons of money and sleep.
If they can strip Trump they can strip the Fortune 1000..................
