House Democrats Immediately Announce They are Working to “Revive Legislation” to Ban Trump From Ballot in Light of SCOTUS Decision (VIDEO)

House Democrats are now reviving legislation to bar Trump from the ballot in light of the US Supreme Court’s unanimous decision to put Trump back on the Colorado ballot.

The US Supreme Court on Monday unanimously ruled Trump can stay on the Colorado primary 2024 ballot.

The Supreme Court said the states lack the power to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution against Presidential candidates.

“This case raises the question whether the States, in addition to Congress, may also enforce Section 3. We conclude that States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency,” The Supreme Court said according to the ruling reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

“For the reasons given, responsibility for enforcing Section against federal officeholders and candidates rests with Congress and not the States. The judgment of the Colorado Supreme Court therefore cannot stand,” the high court’s ruling said.

The Supreme Court said in its ruling that only Congress has the power to block a candidate from a presidential ballot.

“The text of Section 3 reinforces these conclusions. Its final sentence empowers Congress to “remove” any Section 3 “disability” by a two-thirds vote of each house. The text imposes no limits on that power, and Congress may exercise it any time, as the respondents concede,” the ruling read.

“Instead, it is Congress that has long given effect to Section 3 with respect to would-be or existing federal officeholders. Shortly after ratification of the Amendment, Congress enacted the Enforcement Act of 1870. That Act authorized federal district attorneys to bring civil actions in federal court to remove anyone holding nonlegislative office—federal or state—in violation of Section 3, and made holding or attempting to hold office in violation of Section 3 a federal crime,” the high court’s ruling read.

Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin immediately ran to CNN to announce he is ‘working with a number of his colleagues’ including Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell to “revive legislation” to force Trump off the presidential ballot.

In what court was Trump found guilty of whatever dire and dastardly behavior it is that they want to punish him for? The court of liberal opinion?

In 2020 the house voted to impeach President Trump and the Senate acquitted him. Not guilty. Congress shot their wad. Impeachments can only remove an officer from office, not prevent a run for office. Any legislation to prevent Trump from running would be a bill of attainder and therefore unconstitutional.

Fortunately, the tyrannical communists cannot prevent the voters from deciding.

The rumor is that the Court has already decided that Trump has full civil and criminal immunity. This would force the court to announce their decision immediately. Remember that Ford pardoned Nixon to avoid this. Nixon was never convicted of anything either.

The democrats are faced with a situation they did not anticipate. They were 99% sure they could destroy Trump. Now with Trump the frontrunner for president, the illegal actions of the J6 committee and Nancy Pelosi are going to boomerang on them.

Trump is elected, those responsabile for J6 detention are going to be chaged for their illegal activities outside the law to falsely charge Trump and those detained for J6.
The rats are finished in their slanderous attempt to overthrow the government.

I’m no lawyer but it sure seems to me that the Supreme Court would have to say “Impeachment is in the Constitution. That’s your legal remedy. That’s all you have. Don’t try to take the president to court in other ways. It won’t work. He has immunity. Other than that Impeachment thing.”

We aren t talking about while he is President. The Democrats know that they can still impeach a President after he leaves office because it was talked about with Clinton. It just isn’t worth it. They also know that he has immunity. They are just having a hissy fit. Their plan was to turn the voters against Trump, but most of them didn’t know that the papers that Biden had hidden were papers that proved Biden’s Ukraine connection and others about his Chinese connection. Heck, I’m still not sure that they know it.

The judge blocked Trump from talking about it, but the Supreme court will read it all.

Not one Democrat has ever read the Constitution. Most aren’t literate enough to understand it if they did.

This legislation won’t go anywhere.

The democrats promoting this are giving their troops a “pep talk” after the 9-0 Supreme Court decision.

***Joe Biden signing a law disqualifying the opposition candidate who is beating him in the polls will not sit well with half the country. THAT may be the spark that ignites a new civil war***

It is becoming reasonably clear that the Dems are working to overthrow our Constitutional Republic - and, just like in 1861, they seem prepared to precipitate a 'civil war' to get everything that they want.

Already they are scheming to find a way to ignore the SCOTUS decision on the 14th Amendment. Joe Bitem is openly violating a recent SCOTUS ruling prohibiting forgiveness of student debt without the Congress. Will the radical Dems follow the same path❓

The Colorado Sec State is stunned that she doesn't have the power to simply declare a political opponent as guilty of a crime (no charges, no trial by jury) and deny his voters the right to vote as they wish. This is the new Democrap Party: they can determine what is legal and who is guilty without all the distractions of prosecutors, courts, juries - whatever

It started with Jussie Smolett.👈👈
. . . . . .
I recently wrote my governor, Ron DeSantis, and suggested he consider 'threatening' to remove Joe Bitem from Florida's ballot - on the grounds of his grossly violating immigration laws, his ignoring a SCOTUS ruling on student debt, his wounding the dollar and the American family with inflation - anything concrete.😌🤷
