Former South Carolina Governor and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley finally got a win Sunday night in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, claiming the Washington, D.C. primary by a 63-33 margin and thereby earning 19 delegates.
It's a nice victory for Haley, but she still trails former President Donald Trump's delegate count by 244-43.
She took to social media to celebrate her win:

She faced good odds in D.C.:
Washington, D.C., represented Haley's possible best shot at notching a victory and ending Trump's undefeated primary streak. While Trump won the district in an uncontested 2020 primary, he finished a distant third behind Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and former Ohio Gov. John Kasich during the 2016 primary. The district also leans heavily Democrat, with President Biden garnering 92% of the Washington, D.C., vote in the 2020 election.
Next up, Super Tuesday, March 5, where 15 states will be in play for the Republicans, and more than a third of the total delegates will be at stake. Haley will have to perform extremely well for her campaign to have a realistic shot at overtaking Trump.
The Haley campaign looks to carry the momentum to Monday's contest in North Dakota, where 29 delegates are up for grabs, and this week's Super Tuesday, when voters in 15 states head to the polls to determine who gets a share of 865 total delegates. Haley has invested heavily in Super Tuesday; last week, her campaign announced a seven-figure ad buy in various states set to vote that day.
The magic number toward securing the GOP nomination is 1,215 delegates, meaning no candidate can become the presumptive nominee after the upcoming week's primaries are over.
Speaking of Trump, the former president and GOP frontrunner was well aware of Haley's win and made light of it in a mocking statement titled, "Trump Campaign Statement on Nikki Haley Being Crowned Queen of The Swamp."
Tonight’s results in Washington D.C. reaffirm the object of President Trump’s campaign — he will drain the swamp and put America first.
While Nikki has been soundly rejected throughout the rest of America, she was just crowned Queen of the Swamp by the lobbyists and DC insiders that want to protect the failed status quo. The swamp has claimed their queen.
He also took to the social media platform Truth Social to emphasize that he didn't campaign very hard in D.C.:
He also brought out his familiar use of nicknames, calling Haley "Birdbrain":
Super Tuesday will be a crucial test for Haley, and it will be interesting to see if she stays in the race if she performs poorly. Interestingly, she said in an interview Sunday that she might not endorse Trump if he wins.

Queen of the Swamp.
Priceless.
What's next for this plastic Uniparty sociopath? Winning a straw poll against Trump in a Supermax prison and then bragging about it?
One tiny primary won with democrat trans voters and the media wants you to think it’s a tight race. 🤡🤡🤡
That was my take-away from this news item.
She wont get Tennessee on Tuesday...
Oh wow! And some still think Trump can get a fair trial in DC. LOL.
“Queen of the Swamp”. Perfect. Trump is a natural born marketer. You just can’t beat him at this sort of thing.
Washington D.C. - approximately 500,000 voting age residents.
Approximately 25,000 registered Republicans.
Less than 2,000 total votes cast in the Republican Primary.
“She wont get Tennessee on Tuesday...”
Ya think? LOL! We voted early, on the last day of early voting. I prefer to do it on Election Day. If I didn’t know the precinct workers we wouldn’t have done it. I’m confident there will be no funny business between early voting and Election Day.
I know that in Nashville there will be Ds voting for her. Surely not enough to make a difference, though.
NY Times Poll — Trump leads Biden with hispanic voters 46-40.
Nimroda is Deep State.
Most Republicans did not think this primary worth driving to the downtown hotel which was the only precinct. So we see Trump can get no fair trial of any kind in D.C.
Dear Nikki....Don't get too excited...wait till tomorrow.
She’s running for 2028. A democrat victory in 2024 would work to her personal advantage.
I voted the first day first in line I usually am
:)
Only 2,000 Republicans voted in D.C.
And I thought dC was supposed to remain apolitical to carry out the peoples business in an effort unaffected by political shenanigans????
