The Russians repeatedly were willing to settle for a lot less -- in the Minsk Accords and in the peace negotiations in Turkey in 2022.
The only reason the war continues is because NATO and Ukraine are desperate to try to get territory back but that is absolutely impossible.

So you are saying that Russia never intended to “liberate” all of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Oblasts, when their Duma formally voted to annex them? Because they did not occupy that territory in September of 2022, and still don’t.

Power grids can be powered from decentralized power sources, Comrade Engineer. Even residential rooftop solar panels can be tied in, to supply the grid. So can electric supplies from neighboring NATO countries. “Horror has returned to Crimea.” In one of the military units of Simferopol, 13 soldiers were poisoned to death
