The Russians repeatedly were willing to settle for a lot less -- in the Minsk Accords and in the peace negotiations in Turkey in 2022.
The only reason the war continues is because NATO and Ukraine are desperate to try to get territory back but that is absolutely impossible.

So you are saying that Russia never intended to “liberate” all of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Oblasts, when their Duma formally voted to annex them? Because they did not occupy that territory in September of 2022, and still don’t.
Oh that’s right, genetically engineered homosexual Jewish Nazi Satanists made Russia keep attacking more territory, as well as continue to commit further war crimes by deliberately targeting essential civilian electrical infrastructure, in violation of the Geneva and Hague Conventions that they signed.
