It’ll be more nuanced this time. With them ramping up the assault against trump in the courts, painting him as Satan (Hitler is bush league at this point), they’ll also welcome other players such as RFK Jr., because it’ll mean that the votes electronically siphoned from Trump don’t have to all go to Biden (or whoever ends up at the top of the ticket). The votes can be distributed in a way that makes it look like there are a lot of dissatisfied voters who don’t like either major candidate, but with just enough going Democrat to carry the day.

And if Biden remains the candidate, no matter how much disbelief and outcry follows, the Dems will be in a position to say “What are you gonna do about it? We own the government now. Shut up or we’ll shut you down.”
