Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

Cardiologist has blessed my heart. I’m still mildly radioactive...
Congratulations! Let us know when your mutant power manifest.
So far, I’ve been capable of is “pegging” (how do you peg a digital display???) my Geiger counter.
But that superpower is rapidly fading...
Radiation should be a lot more fun.
I’m glad to hear the former and not surprised at the latter!
Ah, I misread. I thought they were only getting you a card.
Sounds like fun. Good luck with that.
I remember some of those things from my days in the Boy Scouts - er- Scouting America - er - Scouting Colonialist Nation - er - whatever it’s called now.
Technical or southern “bless your heart”?
It makes a difference.
Good morning. Happy Friday!
Kitteh iz stuck.
We have mild weather foreguessed again today. If the sun is up tomorrow I’m going to be riding F-I-L’s lawnmower around while he does something to allow himself to feel useful.
I have to get the brain engaged for owrk. I’m waking up more and more tired due to the 2am walks for the Princess. I spent much of this morning looking at a Wordle with 4 right letters in the wrong place, 3 eliminated letters, and zero ideas how to make a word from this. If I get it, I’ll share it.
What a cute floof!
Good morning. I hope you were able to go to bed early and sleep well last night.
I’m sure I didn’t help, but I couldn’t contain my excitement over seeing Chip posed in the doorway! What a gorgeous chocolate-colored creature he is! Except for his long skinny red tail. Maybe one day, I can take a photo of him. For now, I’m happy for what I have.
He ate all of his food again last night, so that’s good. I’m trying to decide whether to give him a whole can of wet food and not mix it with water like they were doing at the sanctuary. I’m sure they did it as an economic measure, but I wonder if he would be healthier without it mixed.
My son is getting me cards, but they usually include a gift card, if their economic situation allows it. I got the impression from his text that no gift card would be enclosed in either the birthday card or the Mother’s Day card. But since the days are so close together they usually only give me one gift card, anyway.
My daughter doesn’t send gift cards. She sends something chocolate, usually Godiva bon bons so I can spend the next few days gorging.
I’m sorry about your 0200 walks fading your brems out.
Is this expected to last much longer?
Good luck with tomorrow’s lawn rodeo.
It’s 46° out and will reach only 76 degrees today, but the wind is still out of the NNE; only blowing at 9 mph instead of the usual 17 - 19 it has been. At least the day will be sunny!
I’m waiting for the hardcore days of 91° like Monday will be!
Good morning, everyone. It’s not raining here. I dreamed about having four babies at once. “Well, if I’m nursing four babies, I’ll lose weight,” I thought.
Technical.
I know the southern, I don’t think he does. Any way he didn’t use that particular word.
Four crying out loud!
It beats the dickens out of the treadmill!
We'll do a liver blood test after a month. If things are much improved then the pill regimen can stop. I don't know how long it will be after we stop that steroid that her full bladder control will be back. Of course, if her numbers aren't improved, we continue the pills for another month. I hope we don't have to do that.
It’s a TRICK!
More so with cats even than children, if they’ve got themselves into someplace, they can get themselves out.
By now you may have seen the video of the Fire Department ladder truck called out to retrieve a cat from the top of a telephone pole that records the moment when — with the onlookers gathered, the crew on scene, the ladder at last in position, and the gallant Firefighter at the top reaching to rescue the stranded animal — the cat registers an indifferent “No thank you” with a heart-stopping leap thirty plus feet to the ground, lands with that aplomb bestowed only upon the feline, and casually strolls away, tail in the air, without so much as a pithy comment for the Press.
I daresay that pithy comments were not a few among the duped.
Today’s foray into the Wordlesphere gave me cause for a few pithy comments as a plethora of choices served to pad my score.
