I think Hamas picked the wrong leader to mess with. I’m not the biggest Netenyahu fan, but I believe it when he says they are going to kick some butt.

“The Russians report that the Israeli Army will not achieve the goals it has set while suffering significant losses.”

Well, Russia would know a thing or two about their army not achieving their goals and suffering significant losses. They’re the world’s leading authority on overestimating their own abilities.

But Israel is not Russia. Israel is the rock upon which Islam is bashing itself to death.

Israel might have to resort to using their nukes.

I don’t think that the Russians are the right people to consult about the sort of combat Israel will face in Gaza. The Russkis aren’t exactly the world’s premier fighting force.

well Russia knows all about getting bogged down, lol

that’s why Israel doesn’t have to actually go in ... just surround Gaza, and starve the bastards out while bombing the hell out of it ... Gaza will be their tomb

plus, it saves the cost of having to take care of these roaches later

Let’s see, a well equipped, professional army supported by artillery, airpower, and armor.

versus:

A bunch of inbred, poorly trained, poorly equipped, irregular militia with no supporting infrastructure airpower, or heavy weapons.

Yep. I can sort of guess who’s gonna suffer massive losses.

The Russians hit “send” to soon on their propaganda.

The IDF hasn’t crossed the border yet, with any strength.

Wait a week and re-publish this garbage.

As long as the IDF ignores the human shields, Gaza will not be a difficult task.

And it’s IMPERATIVE they ignore the human shields...and the hostages.

A bunch of Jihad Johnny's cut off from Iranian planning and support will bring any Gaza operation to a swift completion. These are a bunch of uneducated Hammas thugs, high as f#$&k on amphetamines and programmed to rage.

Isolated and coming down after a week and they will be useless dummies used for target practice.

Is carpet bombing in order then? That would be the safest option.

Uh oh! If there’s one thing the Russians are familiar with, it’s getting bogged down in ruinous wars of attrition. Speaking of which, how’s their invasion of Ukraine going?

Nah. The IDF will advance. When they hit resistance, targets will lased, their air force will flatten buildings and destroy tunnels and they will advance again.

They aren't going to fight Hamas mano-a-mano as we stupidly did in Fallujah.

Israel can flatten the entire strip without sending in a single soldier. Park battleships off the coast and just start leveling it from north to south, one block at a time

I am of a dissenting opinion on this one.

I think the Israelis will execute their short term military goals quickly and with comparatively minimal Israeli losses.

I am not as optimistic for the prospects of the Gaza “civilians” if there is such a thing.

I am decidedly pessimistic about the long term fall out from this war, but the Israelis are damned if they do and double damned if they don't. So it's not like they have a choice in the matter.

My biggest concern is that the actions they rightfully take to defend themselves will inflame preexisting hatred and mobilize it to create a highly unstable political and military situation in the region.

More importantly, the actions they take may allow the feckless world media to paint Israel as an international pariah once the fighting is over, the destruction becomes publicized and the world is faced with the problem dealing with displaced militant Gazans. If something like this causes them to lose American support for any reason, the Israelis will be without friends and very hard pressed.

Worst of all, if the war spreads to Syria, Israel will possibly follow through on threats to destroy Damascus which would shock the world.

Will it get bad enough that Israel will draft the 17% of young men who are on religious exemption as “Yeshiva students”?

The worst-case scenario for Israel, and for the West, is to get bogged down in a war and then be attacked on other fronts with the risk of sliding into a regional war as WarNews247 reported yesterday .

So, how's that 2-week takeover of Ukraine going for ya, comrade?

Israel gave away Gaza to the PA a few years ago.

They should just re-acquire it and tell the Arabs tough luck.
