For many years, Pastor Charles Henrickson has posted a good Scriptural sermon here on FR. Please pray for him. He has a health challenge; that's all I can say.
Some laudable things about Pastor Henrickson: - he has posted a very good Confessional Lutheran sermon here every week for a long time - he uses his real name - he's openly being a member of Free Republic when so many, even in a conservative church body, would look down upon him for that. I don't know any other MO Synod pastor who does this, and I know quite a few. - unlike myself, he's never argued or been rude here, to my knowledge. He truly has "known only Christ."
I am very blessed to have considered him a friend for more than 20 years.
Finally, a commendation for FR, a conservative Roman Catholic site, more than tolerating the posts of a Confessional Lutheran pastor. If nothing else proved that FR is a real free speech place and a truly Christian place, this does so. Thank you FR for hosting Pastor Henrickson's sermons all these years.

FR is not “a conservative Roman Catholic site.”
It’s a conservative website.
Anybody who visits the religious form would probably agree with the original poster.
But I will offer prayers for Charles Hendrickson, if he'll take them from an antichrist person, such as he believes I am.

I appreciate that FR is a forum of largely religious people; but I’ve never seen it as a sectarian religious one in any way.

It’s not a Roman Catholic site. It’s a conservative discussion forum. Many types of Christians post here, and the owner does not appreciate uncivil religious wars about doctrine. He defends Catholics against Protestant bullying and also the reverse.
Catholic prayers up for a Lutheran ally.
Don’t forget the many religious Jews who are here. (I think I’ve even seen a Buddhist or two, over the years.)
