I strongly believe that DeSantis was being positioned to be the alternative to Trump in the upcoming election cycle by the establishment GOP. Especially as it looked like Trump would be knocked out of the race due to indictments or whatever. Then DeSantis would “swoop in” as the savior of the party and return it to its uni-party roots. If true, DeSantis allowed himself to be used as a tool.

I scrolled down that blogger’s twitter account and he had some video making fun of John Bolton. My question is who brought that warmongering clown back? It was Trump.
If you’re going to be making fun of John Bolton which you should, it shouldn’t be used to make Trump look good because he’s the one that brought that clown back. I am not inside the beltway but I knew he would stink up the place. It was a very poor decision to bring that clown on.

I like DeSantis and what he is doing in Florida but he fell into the same trap as Ted Cruz in 2016. So desperate to beat trump he climbed into bed with the GOPer slime and thus started making slimey decisions. I was really disappointed by DeSantis’ refusal to denounce the bogus charges against Trump. Rather than do the right thing he listened to the GOP scum and thus came away with the GOP stink all over him.

Great post. I’ve been speculating for months that DeSantis never wanted to run in 2024, but is being led around by his handlers like a poodle on a chain.
Imagine if Trump had waited till DeSantis officially declared. The GOP would be dealing with this in early 2024 instead of now. Has this spat between Trump and DeSantis been divisive? Possibly. But it’s also been educational, as it’s caused people to take a closer look at both candidates. It’s better to get this resolved now rather than later.

I honestly believe there were some people who Trump hired only because he wanted the satisfaction of firing them later.
