Geraldo Rivera on Thursday announced his appearances on Fox’s “The Five” have been canceled.
“My appearances today and tomorrow on The Five have been canceled. I’m sure there’s a good reason. Never fear, I’ll be back week after next. Stay safe and happy. Thanks 🙏” Geraldo said.
Geraldo last week attacked Tucker Carlson after the top-rated Fox host was ousted.
“I don’t wish ill on anybody, but there is no doubt-as I said at the time-Tucker Carlson’s perverse January 6 conspiracy theory was “bullshit.”” Geraldo said.
“Having lost the election President Trump incited an insurrection that sought to undermine our Constitutional process.” he said.

Agreed. I’m so glad I don’t watch Fox egos anymore. By the way, what is Brit Hume saying about all this mess?
I am betting Sean and Laura had it in big time for Tucker. Imagine being them……..Monday thru Friday, the world watches #1 Tucker Carlson from 8 to 9, then at 9:01, TVs all over the country turn FOX off and move on to something else. Sean is unbearable and Laura is tiring……in-fighting might be the real reason Tucker is gone.
I’ve never liked him.
(And his moustache is kind of icky and off-putting.)
The only liberal I’ve been able to tolerate on ‘The Five’ is Harold Ford, Jr.
…wouldn’t know. Don’t care.
Don’t watch Fox any more.
Yeah! And chocolate is horrible, stomach-turning stuff! Never tasted it… 🙄
I wish it was Dana Perino. I cannot stand her either Geraldo and Diana can go off together. Of course I don’t watch any Fox at all anymore but then it just makes me feel sick to see her because she pretends to be such a goody two shoes.
Geraldo... irrelevant and an ass since 1970.
Sandra and that smug smirk after the election that she got caught doing was enough for me. I haven’t had FOX on either since Tucker left. Geraldo is the worst. Always changed the channel when he was speaking.
Right - I thought he would safe too. Perhaps Gutfeld is the one who cancelled him, not the higher-ups.
I haven’t purposely turned to Fox in a while, but from what I recall from about 2 years ago, Greg Gutfeld can himself be quite annoying, and pompous. I’ll sure there are many a locking horns kind of struggle in that news studio.
Back then I thought they were giving Gutfeld too much airtime. Depending on him too much to recapture the magic after 2020. Some Hosts are best when viewed in small doses.
He's creepy and repulsive.
I really like his take on things because he comes at it from a perspective of how liberals frame the issues. Everyone else focuses on the party politics of tit-for-tat and whataboutism.
As I've said earlier, Gutfeld's problem is that his "style" isn't really appropriate for a 5:00pm panel show. He's too disruptive of the time of others when he jumps in with his potty humor. If he dropped the scatology at 5:00pm and had a normal adult conversation, he'd be great (remember, he's sharing the table with a former Congressman, a former county district attorney and judge, and a former White House Press Secretary). A little dignity and respect goes a long way. Save the blue jokes for 11:00pm.
The thing that strikes me the most is what I'm now perceiving as a classic rivalry going on with Jesse Watters. I've seen this before in business when two people compete for certain jobs and one of them advances over the other. Gutfeld has recently taken to sniping at Watters, and the two of them keep throwing barbs back and forth at each other during the panel topics. I think Gutfeld is jealous of Watters' success, despite Gutfeld dominating the late-night hour and Fox News building a live-audience studio for him (and a Super Bowl commercial).
I think Gutfeld realizes that the management at Fox sees Watters as more of a traditional journalist (even though he's a bit yellow) while Gutfeld is a court jester (again, his Super Bowl commercial?). It's no wonder to me that when there's breaking news, it's Gutfeld's show that gets pre-empted. During elections, Gutfeld's studio is used for focus group shows hosted by others.
I don't think Fox will ever get rid of Gutfeld, but I can see them removing him from The Five and replacing him with someone like Will Cain. Cain's appearances on The Five are much more cogent and less jarring to the viewer's attention span (IMHO).

Will Cain is intelligent, he seems like a classy guy, but one with self confidence. He would do well on The Five.
If that happened, Greg would break a No. 2 pencil in frustration. Maybe two pencils!
Yep.
Back to Oscar Myers wiener driver.
Yep, I would like that.
?
Good, hopefully Hannity is next
Our TV gets MUTED when he's on......if not turning the channel!
