The University of California San Diego (UCSD) will host identity-specific graduation ceremonies in June 2023.
Students can participate in a “Black Graduation” with the Black Resource Center (BRC) or the Raza Resource Centro’s (RRC) “Xicanx/Latinx Graduation” before UCSD’s “All Campus Commencement.”
BRC describes its ceremony as “a pre-commencement celebration to honor Black students who have successfully completed an undergraduate or graduate/professional degree.”
“The ceremony reinforces the bonds of scholarship and extends the sense of community and belonging,” the description continues. “The intimate ceremony is representative of African and African-American culture and culminates with a Kente Stole presentation.”

People want to be with their own kind. It certainly appears that many blacks find living among whites to be intolerable, and vice-versa.
These separate graduations, to the extent that they are founded on the truth of what people want instead on the mountain of lies we have been constructing for 70 years or so, represent progress.
Since most of the special students are leaving they should name that event the “Fruit Fly.”
Is there a “White Supremacist” graduation for Caucasians?
Separate but equal…we could have saved so much money and pain if we’d just kept things that way, hmmm?
I have no problem with those people segregating themselves from me. None.

One more indication that a college degree is highly overrated and a waste of good money.
Next they will demand separate water coolers. Especially outside the classrooms where the history classes are taught.
I have spent a lot of time in Ghana over the years. The Kente Cloth (stole) is handwoven by members of the Ashani Tribe. They were major slave traders, capturing fellow Africans from other tribes and selling them into slavery, taken by traders from the Castle in Accra (now the Presidential Palace). This is a fact. Wearing a Kente Cloth stole would in those days honor that slave trade tribe, the Ashanti. Ashanti were rich and fearsome warriors. Still are as a matter of fact.

I just hope conservatives have better sense when choosing a college. Nothing with a “UC” in front of it should be given any consideration.
