So glad you got her back.
Awesome news!
Thanks for letting us know!
How is she doing?
That is wonderful!! Any indication where she had been? Is she okay physically?
I am so happy to hear that. Prayers are answered.
Oh, thank God.
When you have a minute, can you tell us how it happened?
That is awesome! tell us what happened.
A couple of years ago, our female Wheaten, Mayflower, went missing. Wheatens have that stubborn terrier streak, and will follow small game with determination, even past our invisible fence.
She was gone a couple of hours. We drove around the neighborhood, and looked everywhere.
My youngest son, who was a strapping 18 then, decided to try the wooded ravine behind our property again. He made his way through the overgrowth and thought he heard a bird chirping. That was funny, he thought, birds aren’t active at night.
He listened for the sound again, and was able to zero in on a neighbor’s uncovered, ground level well. Inside was May, swimming to stay alive, unable to get out, and making pathetic chirping noises. My 6’6” boy barely had enough reach to pull her out. He carried her out of the ravine, and both were muddy and exhausted.
I hate to think of the consequences of finding her too late, drowned, or worse, never knowing what happened.
We told our neighbor about the well. He has small children, and I hope he covered the opening.
Prayers of thanks up!
So glad to hear this good news.
