Just an update as I didn’t get you on the ping list yet. We’ve been checking as you and others have suggested. There have been no sightings at all. She went into the deep woods and never came out. The weather again last night was brutal with another 3” of snow. I know dogs are resilient, but my instincts are telling me we’re looking at a bad outcome here unfortunately. Thank you for your concern and caring.

Thank you. The update is difficult. Last night was another rough one with cold temps and 3” of additional snow. This is the worst stretch of weather we’ve had this year. I know dogs have an ability to deal with nature. I unfortunately am starting to let reality seep in. Logically it would be a near miracle for this young dog to survive. I have hope, but am preparing for the worst.

Put out a post for someone with a tracking dog.
Put some of your bedding out in the area where you think she may be. Won’t hurt to put some food with the bedding. Often the scent will help them track back home.
Often dogs get scared when they are out like this, so tell people “do not chase” if you think she will just run and get further out. Have them take a photo and text you with time and location of the sighting.

Update on Khloie. Unfortunately it was another rough night here last night with single digit temps and 3” of new snow. My poor dog went missing during the worst weather of the year. We and others have been searching to no avail. To be honest I’m deeply saddened by this event. I hold out hope, but the facts are what they are. Sorry I don’t have happier news for you all.

Unless she lay down and went to sleep, she may have howled at some point, and due to the cold, someone may have taken her in. We have to hope.

Have you tried asking your LOCAL television or radio station if they will broadcast a missing dog alert?

Thank you for your concern. It gives me hope there are still great people that would care about someones dog they have never met. Unfortunately there is no media within a hundred miles of me. The other unfortunate part is Khloie was non-vocal, we never heard her bark. She was just beginning to whimper happily when one of her humans came home or was going to take her on a walk. We’re pretty much resigned to the fact that she probably succumbed to the elements at this point. We just got back from yet another search with no sign at all. There’s still a chance if only slim.

I was hoping there was some new news about Khloie. Still praying for her to be safe and return home to you and your family. Like another FReeper said - until you know for sure she’s really gone there is still hope. Our G*d is an awesome G*d and I believe He is watching over Khloie wherever she is. Dogs are strong incredible creatures. I will keep praying for her. Hugs!
