That is a very good point. And that is why the size of the state matters. Let’s say a president and vice presidential candidate were coming out of Wyoming and it so happened that the electors from that state had to be DQ’d. Big deal.
But Texas, California or Florida would be too big of a risk. And that is why it would not be a good idea for Kamala/Newsom or Trump/DeSantis.

FReeper pepsionice made a good point that if Joe resigns and Harris ascends to the POTUS, the Senate would vote on the new VP candidate, and would not have that limitation on their votes.
But if they chose to run for reelection as that same team, then it might become a problem................
She was in Michigan for some conference a few days ago, and I saw excerpts of her discussion with Jennifer Granholm. Lord, Kamala sounded more scatter-brained than ever. I can only find full videos, not just the parts, so I won’t expect anyone to suffer through the whole thing, unless you choose.
