That is a very good point. And that is why the size of the state matters. Let’s say a president and vice presidential candidate were coming out of Wyoming and it so happened that the electors from that state had to be DQ’d. Big deal.

But Texas, California or Florida would be too big of a risk. And that is why it would not be a good idea for Kamala/Newsom or Trump/DeSantis.

California's 54 Electoral College votes will always be an issue. No Democrat can win without them.
