Superbowl and balloons have sucked the air out of most of the reporting on the feeds I monitor. Seems slow, but I suspect things are going fast below the surface. Pretty slim report for a Monday

Globalism / Great Reset –

A professor at Yale is calling for the elderly in Japan to kill themselves and cease being a burden on society. Fact is, these types have been endorsing death across the planet for the sick and elderly. Fully expect an increased effort here in the US to promote death beyond that of abortion.

Biden / Harris watch –

Harris once again is excited about school busses.. . .

CW2/Domestic violence –

Angry Eagle fans tore up Philadelphia overnight. They would have done the same if the Eagles had won.

Strategic Activity / Deployments –

“An F-16 fighter jet shot down the object, over Lake Huron, according to a Congressional aide, who said the object was shaped like an octagon and was at an altitude of 20,000 feet, posing a hazard to commercial aircraft.”
Senator Tester is saying the object shot down over Lake Huron is the same object that was detected over Montana last night.

OBSERVATION – incredible. Even china is shooting down balloons.

**
Related? NORAD has announced that they will be conducting an Air Defense Exercise on Tuesday over Washington, D.C.

OBSERVATION - Reportedly, this is an annual drill, but in light of the balloon barrage who know?

Cyber Warfare –

Reported yesterday that the Russian-backed hacktivist group KILLNET declared today that they are going to target NATO’s infrastructure with DDoS attacks.

China –

China has claimed to have shot down an unidentified balloon over its territory.

Russia -

WAR WATCH - Russia’s “three days to conquer Ukraine” war continues since fighting starting on Feb 24th.

CURRENT ASSESSMENT
Russian forces have initiated an offensive who’s declared goals are to reach and secure the Luhansk and Donetsk oblast borders — an objective that Russian Chief of General Staff Army General Valery Gerasimov had also outlined on December 22, 2022. Troop and equipment build up is being noted

This offensive action is focused on several fronts – 1) the Svatove-Kreminna front, 2) Bahkmut region, 3) Donetsk region and 4) Zaporizhizhia Oblast around the town of Vuhledar.

Russia is also capable of launching more cruise/ballistic missile attacks directed against Ukrainian infrastructure -primarily its power grid, but massively reduced inventories of such missiles means these barrages will be further apart.

While Russia has nuclear capability, the probability is low that any will be used in the near future.

********

Ukraine -
WEATHER FORECAST – Temperatures will remain around freezing (upper 20s to low 30s) increasing snow. Overnight lows in the mid to upper teens.

24 HOUR ROUND UP –
Heavy fighting continues to be centered around Bahkmut and northward towards Kreminna.

Apparently not wanting to be left out of the whole balloon thing, the Russian army launched a reconnaissance drone at Dnipropetrovsk region and several balloons with reflectors, - Ukrainian Air Command

OUTLOOK –
Nothing really jumping out from the overnight actions. Russian forces are pressing hard on the north side of Bahkmut with unconfirmed reports that it is sending small, special covert ops to infiltrate into the town at night.

Russian information space is not too thrilled with how this “offensive” is starting out. Reports of how soldiers are treated on the front have gotten back to the general population and is not being taken well. Conservative estimates of nearly 1000 deaths (not inclusive of causalities) hit home that Russia cannot fight using WW1/2 tactics in 2023 and expect to win.

Moldova/Transnistria -

Moldova’s President outlined Monday what she described as a plot by Moscow to use external saboteurs to overthrow her country’s government, put the nation “at the disposal of Russia” and derail its aspirations to one day join the European Union.

President Maia Sandu’s briefing comes a week after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his country had intercepted plans by Russian secret services to destroy Moldova, claims that were later confirmed by Moldovan intelligence officials.

https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-zelenskyy-politics-government-maia-sandu-152d2353f4c18bb84348f5d1656edb98

OBSERVATION – How great of a threat this poses is uncertain. Ever since the start of the Ukraine war, Russia has wanted to be physically connected and in control of the country. Russian forces are in Transnistria, a thin strip of land adjacent to Ukraine and those forces have been drawn down due to the war. The miliary there does not pose a threat to Ukraine, but could make life difficult in Moldova. If Russia tries something in Moldova, Romania may be drawn into it – and potentially NATO with it.

Globalism / Great Reset –

A counter-terrorism program in the United Kingdom that was originally designed to focus on stopping radical Muslim jihadists from terrorizing the country could soon be modified to also include the “unvaccinated” as targets.

British SNP politician Kirsten Oswald believes that the so-called “Prevent” program is perhaps a bit too “racist” in its current form because it risks marginalizing Great Britain’s ever-growing Muslim communities. To fix it, Oswald wants unvaccinated people to be added to the country’s terrorism watchlist.
Oswald made these remarks during a speech by Home Secretary Suella Braverman about plans for “major reform” to the Prevent program. Braverman told the room full of MPs (members of parliament) that the new-and-improved Prevent program must focus “on security, not political correctness.”

OBSERVATION – The unjabbed are apparently a threat to the WEF/GGR crowd and their minions on various govt levels are taking measures to identify, track and in this case, make plans to criminally target them. The past few months here in the US CDC has issued computer codes to identify those who’ve not been jabbed and transplant patients across the globe continue to have lifesaving operations done unless the patient gets the jab.

When this whole thing got started and the ‘conspiracy theory’ of the jab being a genocidal weapon sounded too far fetched. Today, with the evidence from the Twitter files, medical studies confirming early suspicions about extensive lethal adverse affects and the effort to continue to force a jab that has been demonstrated to be ineffective on all ages has changed my mind – big time. Joe and Jane Sheeple living under cover of normalcy bias and ignoring these facts are going to have a rude awakening.

**
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) on Monday announced a proposal to eliminate ESG banking and prohibit the financial sector from implementing social credit scores that would otherwise prevent Floridians from obtaining loans, lines of credit and opening bank accounts.

OBSERVATION – ESG scoring is a major component of the WEF/GGR efforts to restructure the way we live. Combined with a CBDC, the economic tyrants could withhold funds to pay for anti-ESG items such as ammo, guns, gasoline, etc. Fights are at a state level because the fed govt is in bed with the WEF and will institute its mandates – hiding behind govt/private partnerships to circumvent the congressional processes.

Big names are already pushing the ESG message – BlackRock and JP Morgan come to mind quickly.

Economy –

The Federal Reserve will need to continue to raise interest rates in order to get them to a level high enough to bring inflation back down to the central bank’s target rate, Fed Governor Michelle Bowman said on Monday.
“I expect we’ll continue to increase the federal funds rate because we have to bring inflation back down to our 2 percent goal and in order to do that we need to bring demand and supply into better balance,” Bowman said during an American Bankers Association conference in Florida.

The Fed’s benchmark overnight lending rate is currently in the 4.50 percent–4.75 percent range. Once at a sufficiently restrictive level, interest rates will then need to be held for “some time” to restore price stability, Bowman said without offering specifics on the rate peak she would like to see.

OBSERVATION – “some time” requires significant damage to an already wuhan injured economy with massive global instabilities from the Ukraine war and questionable energy supplies. As many note – the housing market is usually one of the prime indicators that lead us into and out of recessions and the market is crashing. Extended “some time” will cut matters to the bone, making any recovery long and tedious IMHO and experience.

Invasion of Illegals –

Apparently even illegal friendly Canada has had enough of illegals coming into the country.

Biden / Harris watch –

Biden in Poland on Feb 20th for a speech and to mark the 1 year anniversary of the Ukraine war.

CW2/Domestic violence –

The Biden administration and Democrats in New York, Connecticut and other states are fighting local zoning laws in order to build high-rise apartment buildings with “affordable” units in tree-lined, single-family neighborhoods. All in the name of equity, meaning everyone can live in a tranquil suburb, whether they’ve earned the money to pay for it or not.

The Biden administration announced Jan. 19 that it will require all towns across the U.S. to submit “Equity Plans” showing how they will make it possible for low-income people to live there by providing affordable housing, transportation and other resources. Towns that don’t meet the cookie-cutter requirement for economic diversity will lose federal funding.

OBSERVATION – See also how this fits into the “15 minute city” concept. Stuffing high density, apartment housing in single family neighborhoods is just looking to cause problems. Call me racist or bigoted, but most of these apartments will be designated for low income individuals via federal mandates. And with it all the associated crime – because the same lax criminal “justice” system will continue to dump criminals back onto the streets of these suburbs to commit more crime.

On a CW2 level, the current mix of urban and suburban living has a blue/red (respectively ) connotation. Under the current status quo, if/when things go sideways, chaos will hit the urban core first then work outward towards suburbs. We’ve seen similar in Kalifornia last summer with the mob raids on shopping centers, starting in those adjacent to the Urban centers, then moving quickly outward to the richer suburbs. Under this administrations push, criminal (and likely gang) activity will be present sooner and pose a greater CW2 threat.

Expect to see this push also head into rural areas as this will affect all communities.

**
Biden administration is planning to sell 26 million barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). The Department of Energy asked Congress to block the sale so the department can begin refilling the SPR, which will drop to 345 million barrels with the latest drawdown. (FO)

OBSERVATION – Biden is deliberately moving us well within the danger zone and any significant oil supply crunch could cause irrevocable harm.

CANCEL CULTURE FRONT

Direct TV/ATT receiving more flack from multiple groups over its removal of NewsMax.

POLITICAL FRONT –

Buttigieg did not make a single comment about the train crash in Ohio.
Instead, he complained about the whiteness of the construction industry.

Domestic / International Terror (modified)-

A U-Haul truck driver mowed down pedestrians in Brooklyn Monday morning, injuring people at multiple locations. Police said at least eight people were injured in the rampage, A man in his 30s was struck on Fourth Avenue and taken to an area hospital in critical condition, while three other men on mopeds suffered minor injuries after being hit.

A suspect taken into custody has been identified as Weng Sor, 62, two sources told CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton. The suspect, who has a Nevada driver’s license, rented the truck in Daytona Beach, Florida, in January, according to the sources. The suspect may have been living out of the truck, according to the sources.

OBSERVATION – No motive has been identified, but the driver has a criminal record from Nevada. This kind of action has been used by terrorists across the world.

**
Posting here because of questions this attack raises. At least three people have been killed after a gunman opened fire at Michigan State University (MSU), police say.

As well as the three victims, police said the suspect had died apparently from a “self-inflicted gunshot wound”. Another five people were injured in the attack at the main campus in the city of East Lansing late on Monday.

Police described the suspect as “a black male, shorter in stature”. They later said he was 43 years old with no known affiliation to the university. He has been found dead with self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

OBSERVATION – Black history month and a black goes on a shooting spree. This event will likely go back under the radar because it doesn’t fit the gun control narrative. Need to stay tuned to find out what the motive was.

Strategic Activity / Deployments –

Potentially large piece of the 2,000 lb Chinese spy craft fished off the bottom of the Atlantic after being shot down Feb. 4 This piece apparently contained critical electronics from the suspected Chinese spy balloon, including key sensors - Reuter

The U.S. Air Force F-16Cs which downed the “UFO” over Lake Huron yesterday reportedly missed their first AIM-9X Air-To-Air Missile and were forced to fire another which made Direct Contact. Missile hasn’t been found.

China –

A statement released Monday by the Philippine Coast Guard said the Chinese vessel “illuminated the green laser light twice” and “also made dangerous maneuvers” to block a Philippine fleet from delivering supplies to another ship grounded at Second Thomas Shoal, also known as Ayungin Shoal, a disputed atoll 120 miles off the west coast of the Philippine island of Palawan.

The Philippines has accused China of “a blatant disregard” and “clear violation” of sovereignty, alleging that a Chinese coast guard ship last week directed a “military-grade laser light” at a Philippine Coast Guard ship in the hotly contested South China Sea, temporarily blinding the Filipino crew onboard.

OBSERVATION – China continues to intimidate smaller countries like the Phillippines in waters they claim as theirs. See also Japan for new Japanese-Philippian agreements in progress.

Japan –

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said he has no issues if the country signs a Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) with Japan if it increases maritime security and greater protection of fishermen. Marcos visited Japan to increase security ties with the country, which culminated in signing a pact that allows their militaries to work together during disaster relief operations.

OBSERVATION – Japan and other nations like the Phillippines are working hard and fast to secure agreements for mutual levels of defense in the face of growing Chinese aggression.

********

Missed this yesterday. The United States has told its citizens to leave Russia immediately due to the war in Ukraine and the risk of arbitrary arrest or harassment by Russian law enforcement agencies. Other nations have also reiterated the warning to not only leave Russia but Belarus as well. Most of the warning was a continuation of the warning given a year ago just prior to the Russian invasion and restated after Griner was arrested. Key target groups are those holding dual citizenship and the risk of being forced into military service.

Kerch Bridge update –
Recent satellite photos show resurfacing of the roadway suggesting that it could soon be open. Work to repair the rail bridge continues, with a completion date still some time this summer.

Russian Personnel Issues –-
- Russian general Vladimir Makarov dies in apparent suicide weeks after being fired, TASS reports

- Rumors that putin is holding back the call up of another major mobilization because the previous/current one has been so screwed up and they are still unable to get the mobilies processed, trained adequately and to the front with the equipment they need.

- Many reports – possible Ukrainian based propaganda – have Russian territorial volunteers posting videos on social media complaining on how they are being treated.

Ukraine -
WEATHER FORECAST – Temperatures will remain around freezing (upper 20s to low 30s) increasing snow. Overnight lows in the mid to upper teens.

24 HOUR ROUND UP –
Heavy fighting continues to be centered around Bahkmut and Kreminna. Fighting along the Zaporizhizhia front has ground to a halt following last weeks essential annihilation of 4 Russian combat brigades. Russian artillery strikes were primarly centered along the Donetsk-Svatove front in the east, while being widely scattered across the rest of the LOC.

OUTLOOK –
NATO has officially stated that Russia has started its winter offensive to try to capture the Donbas. After a week of heavy attacks, Russia has made very, very little progress. It appears that maneuvers to encircle Bahkmut are sputtering out, with only minor gains on the northern flank. Intense counter attacks in the Kreminna region have made little progress as well and as noted before the offensive in the Zaporizhizhia region was an absolute disaster in the decimation of 4 Russian brigades.

Unless Russia pulls a rabbit out of their hat, this offensive is going to leave them in a worse position than what they started at – with a lot of losses in men and equipment. Ukraine meanwhile is in the process of fielding 4 new brigades with modern, western equipment. One could forget that Ukraine initiated a million man mobilization last February and a lot of them have been receiving modern combat training. The success of the Kharkiv and Kherson offensive actions last year are evidence of that.

Russian command seems to be mired in the same old rut, made deeper by the loss of may generals and other officers and continued poor logistical planning. Again, they may have something up their sleeves but time is running out for them.

Moldova/Transnistria -

Moldova temporarily closed its airspace, until 16:00, according to local media and Air Moldova.
It is reported that the reason for this was a Russian reconnaissance drone that flew into the airspace of Moldova. There is no official confirmation of this yet.

OBSERVATION – Continuation of rising tensions with Russian occupied Transnistria.

Belarus -

Russian forces are again setting up large military camps in Voronezh and Kursk regions, this was also seen before the renewed invasion last year. One of the newly established camp in Postoyalye Dvory, is located east of Kursk.

Although there is large offensives taking place on the eastern frontline, It is also possible they open a new frontline in spring.

OBSERVATION – Current estimates of 9000 Russian soldiers currently in Belarus and most of those being newly mobilized and undergoing training. At this stage reestablishment of these military camps is important, but the massive influx of Russian soldiers and equipment that marked the buildup to the start of the current war is absent.

**
Russian President Putin is set to most likely meet Belarusian President Lukashenko on Friday in which they will reportedly discuss the possibility of steps to increase the “Security and Cooperation” between the Nations.

OBSERVATION – Putin probably trying to twist the arm of Lukashenko to get the more deeply involved in Ukraine war. Increased ‘cooperation’ may also mean Belarus supplying more war materials and perhaps even conscripting ‘volunteers’ to join Russian forces in Wagner like paramilitary groups.

.
Europe / NATO General –

Two Dutch F-35 jets have “remotely escorted” a Russian spy plane and two fighters which crossed into Polish airspace, Netherlands says. Royal Dutch Air Force is carrying out Nato’s air policing mission in Poland. First time such intervention made since Ukraine conflict began – BBC

OBSERVATION – Russia playing ‘chicken’ and applying pressure to NATO in a manner designed to encourage them to back down from supporting Ukraine.

Syria -

Pro-Assad forces and the Russian and Iranian militias are targeting the outskirts of the town of Maarat Al-Naasan, east of Idlib, with missiles.

OBSERVATION – Earthquake recovery is on going and Assad and his gang decide to start bombing what remains .

Turkey -

As of yesterday, the official death toll figures from last week’s magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Turkey and Syria rose above 37,000.

Misc of Note –

East Palestine, Ohio, and surrounding region are facing a massive emergency following major release of toxins due to a train derailment. Vinyl Chloride, a deadly chemical has “contaminated the Ohio River due to train derailment. Documented animal and fish kills tens of miles away from the derailment site. 10% of the U.S. population, over 30 MILLION PEOPLE, live in the Ohio River Basin! The Ohio River itself provides drinking water to over 5 MILLION PEOPLE!

Now add to it, other train derailments in –
- Montgomery county, TX
- Spartanburg county, SC

OBSERVATION – The USEPA approved of the decision to burn the contaminants in Ohio; clearly another inept govt agency. This disaster was just made worse - it made it HUGE. Clean up the region may damage agriculture and other businesses for years, let along the deadly chemicals humans have been exposed to. If it can mass kill off birds and fish in very little time at all, human exposures likely to create serious health issues.

The other derailments causing concern are possibly just information bias, smaller derailments that are not beyond ‘background’ levels but inflated because of the Ohio disaster. Worth monitoring to see if a pattern of potential sabotage is identified.

Globalism / Great Reset –

Klaus Schwab: “Who masters those technologies (AI) - in some way - will be the master of the world.” speech at the “World Government Summit”

OBSERVATION – In this I think he is correct. No wonder such a push at the WEF level to have its players in control of it. The latest from the chat bot Ais show huge potential for evil.

**
Musk addressed the audience at the World Government Summit (WGS). The WGS is a high-profile event where leaders are expected to exchange ideas and visions about pressing issues that are prevalent today. The event features thousands of leaders, including 250 ministers and the heads of 80 international, regional, and governmental organizations.

“If you look at history at the rise and fall of civilizations, throughout history, civilizations have risen and fallen, but it hasn’t meant the doom of humanity as a whole because there have been all these separate civilizations that were separated by great distances,” Musk said. A warning that global govt could lead to civilizational collapse.

OBSERVATION – Completely counter to the standard mantra of the WEF/GGR crowd. Interesting, given Musk’s links to the WEF.

**
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the federal government’s commitment to spend $196.1 billion on healthcare over the next ten years.
The package did not even come close to meeting the expectations of the various provincial and territorial leaders.
According to reports, the proposal comes with the condition for digital ID data collection. Trudeau is trying to blackmail to get Canadians to sign up for Digital ID.

“Yesterday, in Canada, Justin Trudeau met will all of our provincial premiers,” Tiktok user (@introverts008) said.

“And basically told them that we would not be able to get funding for our healthcare unless the premiers agree to the digital IDs…You will not be able to access any healthcare without these digital IDs. You will actually not be able to carry a bank account or do anything online regarding financial transactions…For farmers and consumers, you will not be able to get into stores. You will not be able to even sell anywhere. Once they have this system in place, this is where the digital currency will come in…You will not be able to shop online…You will literally need this ID in order to get TikTok, Twitter, or Facebook. No more fake accounts…If you want your taxes done or any sort of government benefits, you will need a digital ID…You will not be able to get an Internet provider without this digital ID, and they will be able to track you. This is basically a hostage situation of our tax money.”

OBSERVATION – I’ve noted time and again that Trudeau is establishing Canada as the test bed for WEF/GGR policies and practices. Here he threatens to weld the hammer of govt to force the digital ID policy on unwilling subjects – this is tyranny folks and you better realize that democrats have similar in their sights for here in America.

Economy –

Economists are expecting that CPI will show a 0.4% increase in January, which would translate into 6.2% annual growth, according to Dow Jones. Excluding food and energy, so-called core CPI is projected to rise 0.3% and 5.5%, respectively.

However, there’s some indication the number could be even higher.
The Cleveland Fed’s “Nowcast” tracker of CPI components is pointing toward inflation growth of 0.65% on a monthly basis and 6.5% year over year. On the core, the outlook is for 0.46% and 5.6%.

The initially reported 0.1% decline in the headline CPI for December has been revised up, and is now showing a gain of 0.1%, according to revisions released Friday.

OBSERVATION – This may drive the fed to make its next rate hike higher than has currently been forecast (+25 points). Energy will become a greater driver as gasoline prices are still forecast to go above $4/gal this summer – a factor that will trickle down across the whole economy.

**
U.S. companies’ earnings woes are likely to extend beyond the weak fourth quarter, as a booming labor market weighing on margins looks set to hurt results in the first half of this year.
Expectations for U.S. earnings to decline in the first and second quarter come amid weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter results for 2022, which Credit Suisse estimates will be the worst earnings season outside of a recession in 24 years.

OBSERVATION – Not good considering that the fed is looking to continue raising the prime rate and are peddling the idea of a ‘soft’ landing for the economy.

**
Bureau of Labor Statistics changed how the Consumer Price Index is calculated. CPI is now calculated based on the trailing 12 months of data instead of the preceding two years. By revising the data pool, BLS will phase out the worst of 2022’s inflation a year early. Using this new formula, the CPI’s inflation reading should decline substantially heading into next year. (FO)

OBSERVATION – Just like with the employment numbers – inflation numbers are being cooked to make them look better for democrats (biden in particular). It is doubtful that the change in coming up with the CPI is going to win that many given the widespread skepticism of the past CPI’s and what consumers are actually paying.

Invasion of Illegals –

Canadian officials have asked New York City Mayor Eric Adams to “immediately” stop sending illegal aliens across the northern US border into Canada, just one week after reports that the National Guard has been helping distribute taxpayer-funded one-way tickets from Manhattan.

“Any form of assistance to migrants crossing the border where it is strictly forbidden to do so should stop immediately,” reads a statement from the office of Quebec Premier Francois Legault. “We understand that the situation of migrants in New York poses major challenges, but the situation in Quebec and particularly in Montreal is even worse and constitutes an important humanitarian issue.”

**
Border Patrol agents assigned to the five Texas-based border sectors apprehended nearly 485,000 migrants who crossed the border from Mexico into this border region since October 1, 2022. This represents nearly 64 percent of all migrant crossings along the southwest border with Mexico.

Agents assigned to the El Paso, Big Bend, Del Rio, Laredo, and Rio Grande Valley sectors apprehended 484,527 migrants who crossed from Mexico during the first four months of Fiscal Year 23. This is up from the same period in FY22 when agents encountered 400,219 migrants — an increase of 21 percent.

OBSERVATION – Things continue to get worse at the border.

Biden / Harris watch –

Biden spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Tuesday that Biden “is the best communicator that we have in the White House.”

OBSERVATION – How can she say this with a straight face?

POLITICAL FRONT –

Congress (both sides of the aisle) demanding more information on the “unidentified aerial objects” being shot down recently. Complaining of a lack of transparency by the biden regime.

**
Silence from the biden regime regarding the growing disaster in Ohio. Soil and water samples across the region are coming in and the results are not good at all.

Strategic Activity / Deployments –

Facepalm time - -CBS News has learned that U.S. intelligence watched the Chinese spy balloon as it lifted off near China’s south coast, meaning the U.S. military had been tracking it for nearly a week before it entered U.S. airspace.

2 NORAD F-16s supported by F-35s, an E-3B Sentry, and KC-135s reportedly intercepted 4 Russian Military Aircraft consisting of 2 Tu-95 “Bear” Strategic Bombers and 2 Su-35 “Flanker-E” Multi-Role Fighters over the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone yesterday; the Russian Aircraft were intercepted and escorted until it was determined that they were planning to stay in International Airspace. This intercept is seen by NORAD as relatively routine with Russian Military Aircraft probing the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone at least 6-7 times a year.

OBSERVATION – Nothing outside of the norm, but if intrusions increase then the concern level rises.

The Philippines and the United States will this year carry out their biggest joint military drills since 2015, Manila’s army chief said on Wednesday, against a backdrop of growing tensions with China in the South China Sea.

The annual ‘Balikatan’ exercises will be conducted in the second quarter and involve more than the previous year’s 8,900 troops, army chief Romeo Brawner told reporters.

OBSERVATION – The China threat is driving the Philippines back towards the US after a number of years of strained relations.

Russia -
WAR WATCH - Russia’s “three days to conquer Ukraine” war continues since fighting starting on Feb 24th.

********
Putin to address Federal Assembly at noon on 21th of February. The Federation Council re-scheduled their extraordinary meeting from 1st March to 22nd February.

OBSERVATION – A lot of speculation on why the changes - everything ranging from a full declaration of war to another massive mobilization. At this stage it is a wait and see. Remember, the first year anniversary of the war is Feb 24th.

One year ago today, thousands of Russian troops, tanks, and trucks departed an assortment of FOB facilities across Belarus and Russia for combat positions along the border with Ukraine.

I found the linked graph indicative of the ebb and flow of the war. Note that under the current Russian push very little actual terrain has been recouped. It shows the initial successes of Russia, the bog down and withdrawal from the north and the Ukrainian offenses. Created by ISW.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fo8pANNXEBovSzz?format=jpg&name=large

It is apparent that even with some gains around Bahkmut, Russia has done very little of late.

NUCLEAR THREATS –
Norwegian intelligence reports that ships of Russia’s North Sea Fleet are deploying with nuclear weapons for the first time in 30 years.

RUMINT-
In fear for his life, putin has taken to riding in heavily armored and protected trains to get to different locations.

**
Western intelligence shows that Russians is amassing aircraft and helicopters on the Ukrainian border, officials say - FT
U.S. Defense Secretary Austin: We don’t currently see Russia massing aircraft for a potential larger air attack

OBSERVATION - I suspect that some of this is propaganda designed to increase the urgency to provide support to Ukraine. Russia has failed to establish air superiority in the nearly year of combat. See Ukraine – Outlook for more thoughts on this ‘build up’

More like the above, continued warnings that Russia is massing 300-500K troops to prosecute their offensive.

Kerch Bridge update –
Full traffic clearance on the left lane of the Crimean bridge will take place at the end of February, says The Federal Road Transport Agency Rosavtodor

Ukraine -
WEATHER FORECAST – Temperatures will remain around freezing (upper 20s to low 30s) increasing snow. Overnight lows in the mid to upper teens.

24 HOUR ROUND UP –
Russian forces are being given orders to advance in most sectors but they have not massed sufficient offensive combat power on any one axis to achieve a decisive effect - UK Ministry of Defense

Heavy fighting continues to be centered around Bahkmut and Donetsk this morning. Ukrainian counter attacks have reportedly succeeded on driving Russian forces on the southern flank of Bahkmut back by as much as a kilometer – a distance it took Russia weeks to capture.

Russian attacks along the Svatove – Kreminna line are reportedly by company and smaller sized units -suspect these are to try to fix Ukranian forces in place.
Minor action along the Zaporizhizhia front. Nothing really significant at this time.

OUTLOOK –
The Russian offensive continues to sputter IMHO and unless they have something else planned, it isn’t going to get much further.

The whole discussion on the reported build-up of aircraft, helicopters and hundreds of thousands of troops just doesn’t match what was observed in the days leading up to the start of the war.

Now to play devil’s advocate – what if it is true, what might we see if they engage. The start of the war had a dramatic airmobile assault to capture an airfield close to Kyiv. It partially succeeded but failed as the ground forces couldn’t link up and these VDV forces were taken apart in piecemeal fashion by a partially ready Ukrainian defense. Russian troops at the time were adequately trained and relatively well equipped. Such an operation requires a well trained force and excellent coordination. But is failed.

Today, the Russian military is even more poorly trained, poorly equipped than a year ago and is missing a lot of generals and other senior officers. The remaining VDV forces have been ground down in the fighting for places like Bahkmut. One the Ukraine side - they are armed to the teeth with air defense capabilities. Russia has been unable to obtain air superiority except locally and at this stage there suppression efforts have not been very successful.

The lack of training has shown up in the Russian forces over the past couple weeks particularly. Human wave attacks and armored brigades being torn up – huge losses.

Bottom line IMHO, is that this is propaganda designed to hasten western arms and munitions to Ukraine. Results on the battlefield are so far not going well for Russia.

Thanks Godzilla.

Thanks for the ping, Rusty.

This is one of the many issues that has our little family so worried. The evil Trudeau is out to turn Canada over to the WEF/NWO, which means digital currency, 15 minute travel restrictions, total control and surveillance....the whole diabolical package. We can only hope and pray that enough of the Premiers stand up to him that it puts a stop to it. I have zero faith in the compromised Doug Ford, a fake conservative, in Ontario.

Globalism / Great Reset –

Studies show that Elon Musk’s new tech can bend your mind in strange and troubling ways.
Musk’s company is far from the only group working on brain-computer interfaces, or systems to facilitate direct communication between human brains and external computers. Other researchers have been looking into using BCIs to restore lost senses and control prosthetic limbs, among other applications. While these technologies are still in their infancy, they’ve been around long enough for researchers to increasingly get a sense of how neural implants interact with our minds. As Anna Wexler, an assistant professor of philosophy in the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania, put it: “Of course it causes changes. The question is what kinds of changes does it cause, and how much do those changes matter?”

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/the-mind-bending-dangers-of-elon-musks-brain-chip-revolution/ar-AA17vixf

OBSERVATION – link describes some initial review of how a person’s perception of reality have changed after receiving an implant. That which has a chance to cause good is in reality moving towards a more evil application.

Speaking of AI, last week, Microsoft announced the new AI-powered Bing: a search interface that incorporates a language model powered chatbot that can run searches for you and summarize the results, plus do all of the other fun things that engines like GPT-3 and ChatGPT have been demonstrating over the past few months: the ability to generate poetry, and jokes, and do creative writing, and so much more.

I’m not sure how valid the exchanges that the following link claims were made with “bing” but the computer responses are unnerving.

Wuhan virus –

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky suggested during congressional testimony Tuesday that the organisation will never change its policy on masking for children, despite multiple studies showing that the face coverings do nothing to stop the spread of COVID.

During a hearing in the House on the government’s response to the pandemic, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers asked Walensky if the CDC is going to consider revising its guidance on masking in schools (which is still happening in many areas of the country) in the wake of perhaps the most extensive study yet confirming that masks are not effective.

OBSERVATION - Its all about power, not the disease.

**
More on the medical tracking code instituted by the CDC to identify those who’ve not been vaccinated. Apparently this was/is being integrated into the WHOs efforts to track the unjabbed as part of its efforts to mandate a global vaccination ‘passport’.

**
Cedars Sinai hospital is reporting that 30% more young people are dying from heart attacks than before the pandemic.
The rise in heart attacks is so striking because the demographic it has hit is shocking: people from 25-44 years old. People in this age group are not generally known for dropping like flies from heart disease.
CBS News claims the heart attack deaths in younger folks (age 25-44) are 30% higher than average over the past two years blaming on anti-maskers and the unvaxxed.

OBSERVATION – Where are the fact checkers on cBS news on this one.

Economy –

Avian flu has reached new corners of the globe and become endemic for the first time in some wild birds that transmit the virus to poultry, according to veterinarians and disease experts, who warn it is now a year-round problem.
Reuters spoke to more than 20 experts and farmers on four continents who said the prevalence of the virus in the wild signals that record outbreaks will not abate soon on poultry farms, ramping up threats to the world’s food supply.
https://www.scmp.com/news/world/article/3210388/bird-flu-spreads-new-countries-threatens-non-stop-war-poultry?utm_source=rss_feed

OBSERVATION – This is not good news for the poultry industry or consumers. Farmers were unable to extinguish the disease thru multiple culls over the past year and it looks like efforts are continuing to fall short. Now the evidence of global spread will make matters worse.

**
The United States will run out of ways to prevent the government from defaulting sometime this summer, between July and September, the Congressional Budget Office projected Wednesday.
That deadline is later than the one that has been given by the Treasury Department, which is for June. The U.S. hit its debt ceiling last month, and the Treasury Department began “extraordinary measures” to prevent default. The measures essentially amount to shifting money around government accounts in order to pay incoming bills without issuing new debt.

OBSERVATION – The game of chicken between the congress and biden continues and it is apparent that biden et al are trying to lay the groundwork to level the blame on republicans should this deadline pass without a raise of the ceiling. Thanks to senate republicans the house lost all abilty to control the budget bloat via the CR, now have to deal with the nuclear bomb that is the national debt ceiling. Biden’s handlers don’t care – they would that the national economy get crashed – it would advance the GGR goals.

Invasion of Illegals –

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has encountered 2,999 Chinese nationals at the southern border so far in fiscal year 2023—a 719 percent increase year over year, according to CBP data released on Feb. 10.

OBSERVATION – The ethnic mix of those coming across the southern border is very diverse and that diversity is increasingly troublesome.

**
Sens. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) have proposed their “DREAM Act” amnesty that would provide green cards and, eventually, naturalized American citizenship to nearly two million illegal aliens.

OBSERVATION – Graham is a trainwreck and flips back and forth on the cultural scene like a ship in an ocean storm. Such an amnesty scheme will definitely be used by the left to shove as many illegals into a legitimate status here above the 2 million (!) this bill is supposedly authorized, through all sorts of worm holes in the bill and adjacent legislation/regulations.

Biden / Harris watch –

President Biden arrived at Walter Reed Medical Center on Thursday morning to undergo his annual physical.
Biden arrived for his physical around 9:15 a.m. The White House will publicly release a written summary of the president’s physical later in the day after it is completed, the press office said.
Biden did not have a physical during the 2022 calendar year, which the White House chalked up to “scheduling around what has been a busy and evolving travel schedule in recent weeks.”
His last physical was completed in November 2021, and his physician determined at that time that he was healthy and fit to execute the duties of the presidency.

OBSERVATION – As we know from previous queries on biden’s health, there will be an abundance of “no comments” and other obfuscation.

Strategic Activity / Deployments –

USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) has moved to the eastern Med in support of earthquake relief in Turkey. It has been stationed for months just south of the Black Sea ready to support any response to the Russian – Ukraine war needed for NATO countries.

OBSERVATION – There is very little the carrier can do to support relief efforts. It can supply some medical support, but is there more for show.

Russia -

Russia said it would call a meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss the sabotage of its Nord Stream gas pipelines. The meeting, scheduled for February 22nd, was reported by the Russian state-backed media outlet RIA news agency.

The Kremlin has also reportedly ordered all Russian TV Channels to broadcast President Putin’s Address to the Nation on February 21st.

Logistics –
- According the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Russia lost around 50% of its pre-invasion fleet of modern T-72B3s and T-72B3M main battle tanks. The inventory of T-80BV/U tanks is estimated to have been reduced by even two-thirds.
This is a major reason that many see any potential Russian offensive as in precarious reality as facts are it has had to rely upon outdated replacement tanks like the T-62 for its forces.

Economic Impact –
- Head of department of financial supply of Russian Western Military District Marina Yankina has committed suicide in St.Petersburg, falling out of the window

Ukraine -
WEATHER FORECAST – Temperatures will remain around freezing (upper 20s to low 30s) increasing snow. Overnight lows in the mid to upper teens.

24 HOUR ROUND UP –
Russia launched 32 cruise missile at critical infrastructure objects across Ukraine overnight, 16 were shot down. Only 16 have been intercepted primarily because of the usage of Kh-22 which cannot be intercepted with the current inventory, according to Ukraine sources. The Kh-22 Burya (Storm) is a Soviet nuclear-tipped (refitted for Ukraine with conventional explosive warheads) anti-ship missile. Development of this missile began back in 1958. It was taken out of service in 1980’s

Heavy fighting continues to be centered around Bahkmut and Donetsk this morning.

Renewed Russian attacks in the Vuhledar area.

Massive explosions overnight in Russian occupied parts of southern Kherson region as well as the land bridge region with Crimea of Armyansk

Inclusive of the standard lethal attacks on Ukraine comes the increase in Russia’s use of balloons for intelligence collection. This is a noted change in Russian tactics – of course the question is WHY?
The balloons have the potential to confuse radar systems and entice the Ukrainian military into launching very expensive surface-to air-missiles (Sams) at so-called “false targets”.

Given the balloons’ size and speed, the air force spokesman argued that Ukrainian radar was able to identify the objects correctly and on at least two occasions bring them down with bullets instead of wasting missiles.

But the balloons could also act as decoys. Ukraine constantly scans the skies for Russian aircraft and missiles using ground-based radars, many of which are part of their own Soviet-era Sam systems along with modern equivalents supplied by the West.

The Ukrainian military said the balloons had reflectors, which would entice Ukrainian aircraft defenses to lock on to them. That ‘lock on’ provides intelligence to Russia on radar location and type, which could be used in an escalated suppression operation by Russia forces to attempt to gain control over Ukranian airspace, something Russia has failed to do since the start of the war.

Locating the structure of the air defense network also permits analysis of ‘holes’ in the defense through which drones and cruise missiles can exploit. This could account for the unusually low intercept rate from the last cruise missile attacks overnight (following a balloon “barrage”) – a very quick intelligence turnaround for an attack.

OUTLOOK –
Still a lot of voices out there saying there will be a massive application of airpower by Russia to try to jump start their winter/spring invasion. How successful will it be? Many analysts see the communication problem between ground forces and artillery support being duplicated by ground/air comms. The bureaucracy of the Russian military has hampered its artillery support as fire calls have to go through many layers before approval. I see nothing different for the air force. To gain air superiority necessary for such an effort, a significantly coordinated suppression effort must be made, otherwise they will be flying into an airborne sausage grinder. True for the alleged helicopter support – the battle space is rife with MANPADS and other ADA systems – even more so than at the start of the war. I still judge this as a big gamble by Russia if the rumors are true.

I anticipate more grinding battles around Bahkmut. Russia faces some set backs and friction between Wagner and regular Russian command forces may be getting worse, with the regular Russians willing to see Wagner get wiped out in attacks just for political purposes. As I’ve noted elsewhere in the past, there is no love lost between Wagner and the MoD- it is a nasty political knife fight.

Moldova/Transnistria -

Rumbling continues over potential attempts by Russian sponsored elements to overthrow the govt.

Syria -

The area ravished by the recent earthquake – N. Syria – is also the home to independent forces against Assad as well as Kurds. Well, while they are still recovering their dead, Turkish army shelled the town of Tal Rifaat in Shahba region.

Misc of Note –

News out of the ongoing Ohio train disaster is becoming more disturbing. The train cars containing vinyl chloride that were burned create as a byproduct hydrogen chloride and phosgene, according to the International Programme on Chemical Safety. Phosgene is highly poisonous and was used extensively during World War I as a choking agent, while hydrogen chloride is irritating and corrosive to any tissue with which it comes into contact.

The rail company and state/govt entities (especially EPA) are trying to keep this disaster under wraps, but the effects are too large and too many people are ticked off – the cover is threatening be be blown off. Vinyl chloride was bad enough but PHOSGENE! That stuff has a very long life span – they continue to encounter pockets of this and mustard gas in France and Belgium.

Globalism / Great Reset –

According to a panelist at the World Government Summit in the United Arab Emirates this week, the “international order” needs some reorganizing — and not in a “gradual” way, but with a “shock.” Panelist agreed that global institutions, which of course have little to no accountability to the citizens of specific countries, need more power to stop crises. The unanswered question is, just what sort of “shock” do these globalists have in mind?

Professor Arturo Bris, director of IMD World Competitiveness Center, made the somewhat vague but “shock”ing comment during the panel. –
“How — how is this transition going to happen?” Bris stammered. “I mean, I agree, totally agree, that the world order, the way it is built today, doesn’t make any sense. “
https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/catherinesalgado/2023/02/16/world-government-summit-panelist-says-shock-needed-for-transformation-of-international-order-n1671286

OBSERVATION – We already know that the WEF/GGR viewed wuhan plandemic “crisis” as a stepping stone to implement their globalist goals. Since then, a number of potential ‘crisis’s’ have been put forth by WEF’rs such as a mega cyber attack, another plandemic and most favorably (for their GGR) a massive economic crash. IMHO they are working towards the economic crash model and the other things will only contribute to the chaos surrounding the event. To “Build Back Better”, you have to destroy the existing system.

In an interview on a German program, “Handelsblatt Disrupt,” Gates calls for unleashing AI to stop certain views from being “magnified by digital channels.” The problem is that we allow “various conspiracy theories like QAnon or whatever to be blasted out by people who wanted to believe those things.”
Gates added that AI can combat “political polarization” by checking “confirmation bias.”

Confirmation bias is a term long used to describe the tendency of people to search for or interpret information in a way that confirms their own beliefs. It is now being used to dismiss those with opposing views as ignorant slobs dragging their knuckles across the internet — people endangering us all by failing to accept the logic behind policies on COVID, climate change or a host of other political issues.

https://jonathanturley.org/2023/02/15/free-speech-is-futile-gates-goes-full-borg-on-ai-censorship/

Globalist billionaire George Soros predicted that Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will defeat former President Donald Trump for the GOP presidential nomination ahead of the 2024 election, and that Trump will run as a third-party candidate.

Wuhan virus –

The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) is being urged to offer players cardiac screening in light of the growing concern over COVID-19 vaccines causing heart inflammation.
The Health Freedom Defense Fund urged the association in a recent letter to implement screening because the vaccines can cause myocarditis, a form of heart inflammation. Young males are the most at risk.

Most NFL players received a COVID-19 vaccine under pressure from teams and the league.
“Safety signals illustrate that the near and long-term health outcomes of the COVID-19 vaccines remain uncertain,” Leslie Manookian, president and founder of the fund, told DeMaurice Smith, executive director of the players association, in the letter.

“A multitude of adverse reactions to these injections, including myocarditis, are wide-ranging and confirmed, and as such, prudence dictates that the NFLPA investigate the extent to which the COVID-19 shots may have resulted in injury, compromised health or death of players,” Manookian said.

https://www.theepochtimes.com/nfl-players-association-urged-to-screen-for-heart-issues-over-vaccine-side-effects_5060341.html?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=TheLibertyDaily

OBSERVATION – the sudden deaths of high profile sports stars – many on the field in front of thousands – that have exploded over the past year should have athletes who were forced to receive the jab concerned. It will be bitterly opposed by the owners and the medical tyranny of the CDC because it would provide significant data on the deadly effects of the jab – data and follow on studies that have eroded the credibility of the CDC, FDA and the medical community in general.

**
Immunity acquired from a Covid infection provides strong, lasting protection against the most severe outcomes of the illness, according to research published Thursday in The Lancet — protection, experts say, that’s on par with what’s provided through two doses of an mRNA vaccine.
Infection-acquired immunity cut the risk of hospitalization and death from a Covid reinfection by 88% for at least 10 months, the study found.

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(22)02465-5/fulltext

OBSERVATION – Shunned medical experts made this claim years ago as this plandemic got underway. The medical tyranny tried to minimize any beneficial immunity derived from infection down to a level that was below the alleged ‘protection’ that the jab was claimed to provide. Time (and double basic jabs plus two boosters later) have proven that the jab is worthless in preventing the disease and new data coming out that the jabbed have something like an 85% increased chance of infection (can’t find that source reference – just going off my memory). This is just another of the many “I told you so” that medical experts, using SCIENCE, have laid out against the medical tyrannist who suppressed these facts in order to justify the mandate of the jabs.
BTW – I still have to work out my normalcy bias over the fact that the medical community would go along with such a plan knowing the jab was far more dangerous than the infection for most of the population. One that may even been designed to depopulate the planet.

Economy –

Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Director Philip Swagel said Social Security funds will begin running a shortfall starting in 2032, a year earlier than previously expected.

Congressional Budget Office released projections that show cumulative deficit projections increased by $6 trillion in the two years since biden was sworn into office.

As a matter of fact, tax-revenue projections are up about $7 trillion as the economy emerged from the pandemic. So that is not the issue. The issue is that spending projections have soared $13 trillion, as a result of trillions of new spending from Biden, the growth of entitlements, and significantly higher projected interest on the debt.

https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/under-biden-cbo-deficit-projections-have-increased-by-6-trillion/

OBSERVATION – Many have noted our national debt is beyond any meaningful effort to bring under control and reduce. Many of the ‘programs’ instituted by both sides of the aisle have morphed into worthless money consuming monsters. From a WEF/GGR aspect, this is playing right into their “reset” plans. You can’t really ‘reset’ something unless it is crashed. And oh how great the crash here and globally will be.

Kalifornia is facing a wildfire of a different sort – one of a massive budget crisis. Kalifornians proudly used to say that they are the trend setters and what happens there will eventually spread to the rest of the nation. God Help Us.

For what its worth, OpenAI’s ChatGPT has reportedly predicted that the stock market will crash on March 15, 2023.

Invasion of Illegals –

Judiciary Committee ranking member Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) announced Thursday that committee Democrats would not attend an official border hearing next week in Arizona, misleadingly claiming “there was no consultation” with them about it.

OBSERVATION – Grandstanding by both sides, but Nadler has very little for his defense – they were notified 3 weeks ago. For their part, it seems republicans are making an effort to take their committee meeting out to where the public is and bypass the censors of the MSM that have a choke hold on DC.

Biden gave a speech on the US response to the recent “aerial objects” . it turned out to be a real nothing burger with very little new information made available.

One statement was that the three objects that U.S. fighter jets downed over the United States and Canada last weekend were “most likely balloons tied to private companies, recreation, or research institutions, studying weather, or conducting other scientific research,”

CW2/Domestic violence –

Most of the Antifa et al actions of late are focused once again in supporting radical trans-activist marches and protests.

**
Black students at an elementary school in Springfield, Ohio, allegedly hunted down, captured, and dragged white students to the playground, where they forced them to recite identitarian Marxist slogans against their will on camera.

OBSERVATION – These black children will be on the front lines for the next Floyd riots. Indoctrinated in CRT and white hatred, the precursors of a race war are shaping up quickly.

**
An Oregon judge accused sheriffs who, citing the Constitution, refuse to enforce federal and state gun control laws of embracing “racist and white nationalist ideologies.”

The Oregon Court of Appeals on Wednesday ruled that local governments in the state cannot declare themselves Second Amendment sanctuaries and prohibit police from enforcing statewide gun laws. It was the first court defeat for the concept, which has been adopted by as many as 1,200 conservative local governments in response to Democrat-run cities and local jurisdictions that have declared themselves “sanctuary cities” and refuse to enforce federal immigration laws.

Some of these ordinances are symbolic, but the court reviewed a measure enacted in Columbia County that would have imposed thousands of dollars in fines on officials who attempt to enforce federal and state gun laws. It said the ordinance would “create a ‘patchwork quilt’ of firearms laws in Oregon, where firearms regulations that applied in some counties would not apply in Columbia County,” which the court found would violate state law.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/oregon-judge-rules-against-local-second-amendment-sanctuary-laws-calling-sheriffs-allow-them-racist

OBSERVATION – Development of alternative, parallel local and state govts that are the result of citizens splitting off from tyrannical govts is one stage in the formation of the groundwork for a hot CW2. Of course, with this is the apparent two-tiered legal system that allows for sanctuary cities for illegals – creating a ‘patchwork’ of enforcement. Lawfare will continue as this ruling will no doubt be appealed. However, Oregon’s leftist court system is unlikely to rule power away from the Marxists in the state and fed govt. The fact that the court invoked the “racist and white nationalist ideologies” argument only confirms the judicial bias.

Strategic Activity / Deployments –

According to Defense Department data, fentanyl overdoses in the military jumped from 36% of overdoses in 2017 to 88% in 2021.

North/South Korea –

North Korea has threatened to unleash “unprecedentedly persistent and strong counteractions” if South Korea and the United States carry out planned military exercises in the coming weeks, local media reported.
A spokesperson for North Korea’s foreign ministry issued the warning on Friday before the annual Freedom Shield joint military exercises of South Korea and the US and accused Washington of stoking tension by conducting earlier drills which included US stealth fighters and a B1-B strategic bomber that can be equipped with nuclear weapons.

The springtime Freedom Shield field training is scheduled to begin in mid-March in South Korea and will run for 11 days.

OBSERVATION – This is a typical NK threat and if they decide to act, will most probably result in some more short to midrange missiles being launched. Some analysts think this may rise to an actual launch of the suspected new solid fuel ICBM or even a nuke test. Reality is NK needs no provocation to conduct such tests and most of the chest thumping is for domestic consumption.

Russia -
WAR WATCH - Russia’s “three days to conquer Ukraine” war continues since fighting starting on Feb 24th.

********

RUMINT-
There are reports of regular Russian forces refusing to supply ammunition to Wagner. There are also reports Wagner are being replaced by regular Russian army around Bakhmut.
NOTE – Knife fight between Wagner and the Russian MoD may not be going in Wagner’s favor.

**
Continued chatter on the interwebs about a Russian plan to extensively use its Air Force, in support of its ground offensive despite knowing that the losses would be high.
This kind of operation requires a great deal of coordination between air and ground elements. This level of cooperation has largely been absent between ground units and extending that to controlling ground stikes on a large scale is a formula for high losses. An alternative view would be that the airforce would attack deeper targets – exposing them to the well developed Ukrainian air defense network that has cut its teeth shooting down ballistic and cruise missiles.
Some note that this plan is so insane and desperate that it has a high probability to be actually true. Ukraine’s air defense would have a field day.

Economic Impact –
The Russian Association of Banks has asked the Russian Government to increase the undeclared limit on the import of foreign currency into Russia by 10 times. Now up to 100,000 US Dollars.” This is seen as an effort to prop up the Russian currency but will likely only increase inflation as this money hits the market.

Ukraine -
WEATHER FORECAST – Temperatures still ranging in the 20s and 30s with rain/snow over most of the forecast period. Weather systems generating about 75-100% cloud cover, not very optimum for CAS.

RUMINT –
RUMINT. “There are 10,000 Russian troops massed on the other side of the border with Sumy. It’s the largest concentration there has ever been here. And they have built a field hospital”, senior lieutenant Andrei Hulakov says.
NOTE – For those who followed the build up to the invasion last year, OSINT and other intelligence groups were able to track the units, strengths and locations. This 10,000 number has not been confirmed via any other source.

24 HOUR ROUND UP –
Continued Russian assaults against Bahkmut and surrounding areas. Ukraine has called for all remaining civilians to evacuate the town. Ukraine has launched several, successful counter attacks around the town, giving its defenders some breathing room.

Ukraine counterattacks in the south around Vuhledar have also driven Russian forces away from the city.

OUTLOOK –
Looks like Russia if trying to increase its efforts to capture Bahkmut – before the anniversary of the start of the invasion according to some. Expect intensity of fighting to remain high.

Also trying to sift through the conflicting views on the follow-on Russian offensive actions. Force distribution and the hyped discussion of a major Russian air campaign. If their air force is as screwed up as their ground forces (and many indicators pretty much confirm this) it will be a turkey shoot. May gain some measure of success just by overwhelming numbers, but CAS in winter/stormy/cloudy conditions with very poor coordination with ground elements has a tendency to not do well. I suspect that to compensate that Russia may well resort to planned missions, not the standard CAS we are accustomed to. This kind of set piece operation avoids targeting confusion but absent of a successful suppression campaign, Russian planes flying around in unsecured airspace with every ada asset targeting them would not be a situation that leads to long term success.

Belarus -

Putin met with Lukashenka at his residence in Moscow region. More arm twisting to try to get Belarus more directly involved in the Ukraine war. Lukashenka reinterated that would only happen if Ukraine or other NATO country attacked it.

OBSERVATION – Lukashenka statement generated a lot of ‘false flag’ type warnings that Russia would stage such an attack and have it blamed on Ukraine or one of the Nato nations.

Iran –

Iran has seen its most widespread anti-government protests in weeks, after small crowds marched overnight in Tehran and a number of other cities. Videos showed people chanting “Woman, life, freedom” and “Death to Khamenei” - a reference to the Supreme Leader. It followed calls to mark the 40th day of mourning for two men executed on protest-related charges, Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini.

The hits keep coming in regards to the Ohio train disaster –

The CDC update changed the lethal exposure from 100PPM to 100,000PPM. The lethal exposure level had remained the same for 17 years before the CDC decided to update the number just prior to the derailment, where highly toxic chemicals spilled or were burned off, leaving a chemical stench in the air nearly two weeks later. The catastrophe has been downplayed by Biden administration and the media, and the Environmental Protection Agency has deemed the water “safe to drink” – despite the existing reports of wildlife and pets dying in the affected area.
This change was made just 11 days before the train derailment and the ensuing environmental disaster.

MORE –
The Biden administration is rejecting a request for federal disaster assistance from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine in the aftermath of the train derailment and ecological disaster that has devastated the area around East Palestine, Ohio.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) told Ohio’s state government that it was not eligible for disaster assistance, a spokesperson for DeWine told Fox News Digital on Thursday. The Dewine spokeseman explained that FEMA believed the incident qualified as a traditional disaster, such as a tornado or hurricane, for which it usually provides assistance.
“The DeWine Administration has been in daily contact with FEMA to discuss the need for federal support, however FEMA continues to tell Governor DeWine that Ohio is not eligible for assistance at this time,” DeWine’s office said in an earlier statement. “Governor DeWine will continue working with FEMA to determine what assistance can be provided.”

“Just in case you were wondering why Biden and Buttigieg are ignoring the toxic chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio,” O’Handley remarked. “Columbiana County voted 71% for Trump in 2020.”

OBSERVATION - This is a crisis that will not go away any time soon. A lot of screw-ups on many levels and its eventually going to cost people their lives from cancer and other ailments. Agriculture will be taking a major hit as well.

Black Swans

I noted above that Kaliforina is facing an economic firestorm. This summer/early fall kalifornia will be facing a real firestorm. With the abundance of precipitation this winter will come an explosion of grass and bush growth – ladder fuels that drive major forest fires. Last year after several years of drought, there were relatively few major wildfires – because lack of rain prevented the growth of these ladder fuels. That is all gone and as the heat of summer dries this growth out, expect megafires this fall.

Globalism / Great Reset –

Canadian Justice Paul Rouleau, who led the probe into PM Trudeauuse of 1988 Emergencies Act, called the decision a “drastic move” but not a “dictatorial one”. There will be no repercussions for the tyrannical crackdown on the Freedom Convoy.

OBSERVATION – Canada is a beta test site for the WEF/GGR’s operations. This ruling effectively strips away the public’s right to present grievances and expands Trudeau’s powers. This may drive more conservative, western proviences to take further steps to cut away from Ottawa’s grip.

**
Discover Financial Services, a provider of credit cards, told Reuters it will allow its network to track purchases at gun retailers come April, making it the first among its peers to move ahead with the initiative aimed at helping authorities probe gun-related crimes.

The decision came after the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which decides on the classification of merchant categories used by payment cards, approved in September the launch of a dedicated code for gun retailers.

There has been uncertainty around the implementation, with Visa Inc, Mastercard Inc and American Express Co yet to disclose a timetable for adopting the change. Although the codes will not show specific items purchased, some Republican politicians have spoken out against the move, arguing it could violate the privacy of U.S. citizens lawfully buying guns.

A representative for Geneva-based ISO said the new code, dubbed “5723 - Gun and ammunition shops” - would be available for financial institutions to use by the end of February.

OBSERVATION - An armed citizenry is a threat to globalist power drives. Here in the US with the govt trying numerous work arounds to create defacto gun registries, the sinister govt-private sector route is working to do the same.

UK stops offering Covid boosters for all age groups.

OBSERVATION – Many noted that this change happened suddenly and without warning.

Economy –

Bank of America strategists are expecting an economic “hard landing” to pummel the markets at the end of the year, due to a resilient U.S. economy. Bloomberg reported, that BoA strategists, led by Michael Hartnett, in a Feb. 16 note, predicted a “no landing” scenario for the first half of the year, as economic growth continues to remain strong and the Federal Reserve maintains its hawkish rate policy,

Hartnett said that the period of growth will probably be followed by a “hard landing” in the latter part of the year.

Meanwhile. a BofA global fund manager survey from Feb. 14 showed most investors expect the current stock rally to fizzle out. About 66 percent of respondents said stocks are beginning to see a bear market rally and expect them to return to new lows.

Recent economic indicators show that the Fed’s plan to bring down inflation is “very much unaccomplished,” said Hartnett.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-02-17/bofa-s-hartnett-says-hard-landing-to-roil-stocks-in-second-half

OBSERVATION – Continued mix of economic forecasts. I think the ‘new normal’ of our post wuhan/biden regime economy is giving forecasters fits in putting the pieces together. One thing for certain, the longer the prime rate stays high, the greater impact to the economy.

Biden / Harris watch –

Thursday following a screening of the movie “ Till,” Biden pontificated - “White families gathered to celebrate the spectacle, taking pictures of the bodies ... Some people still want to do that”

OBSERVATION - I cannot use the words I want to in order to describe biden at this moment.

CW2/Domestic violence –

Keith Olbermann tweeted –
“There is only one way to stop Mass Shootings. The Blue States must financially starve the Red States, the Gun Lobby, the GOP, the Death Lobby, and the crooked judiciary into submission. “NOW.”

OBSERVATION – Why am I citing this arrogant ignoramus with delusions of adequacy? Simply because he is speaking out the desires of many on the Marxist left that they are holding to. An immense hatred of Red states and red state values. Polls show a growing desire by the left to separate the red from their utopian blue havens. The putrid stench of leftist arrogance that underlies much of the left today.

OK, lets see just how well they do growing their own food, getting fuels to keep warm and their smart phones (and cars) charged.

This is looking more and more like a Spanish civil war scenario and I need to do more research on that piece of history.

Strategic Activity / Deployments –

On Thursday, the United States Navy revealed that it would be erasing any physical fitness assessment failures from sailors’ records. The “one time reset” was made as the Navy continues to struggle with bringing in new recruits and retaining those already in the system.

OBSERVATION – More evidence of the leftist driven decline of our military. Good leadership would have found ways to improve fitness, not excuse it.

North/South Korea –

North Korea fired one suspected long-range ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan west of Hokkaido. This is the first launch in 2023 (over 70 launches in 2022) and after they threatened an unprecedented response to South-US drills if they occur. The drills would occur mid March.

WEATHER FORECAST – Temperatures still ranging in the 20s and 30s with rain/snow over most of the forecast period. Weather systems generating about 75-100% cloud cover, not very optimum for CAS.

24 HOUR ROUND UP –
Activity still strong around Bahkumt with evidence that Russia is attempting to exploit gains north of the town to press northward in a effort to cut off Siversk. Wagner forces have reportedly captured Paraskoviyivka near Bakhmut.

Ukraine reached deep and hit a reported Russian missile complex near Chaplynka in occupied Kherson region.

OUTLOOK –
No significant changes to fighting with Ukraine grudgingly giving up some terrain north of Bahkmut and no change in that scenario in the foreseeable future.

All kinds of rumblings and rumors over the size, nature and location of any expansion of the current Russian offensive. I think some of the estimates are overstated and given how we were able to track the roughly equivalent size forces movements prior to the start of the current conflict, the silence of similar tracking could mean that either there is no build up or Russian finally has figured out OPSEC in the face of Ukrainian eyes. I continue to think that a large part of this exaggeration is pro-Ukraine propaganda to get western equipment an munitions there quicker and in greater quantities.

That movement of western equipment appears to be quickening as the first battalions worth of armor and APC are in country and Ukrainian soldiers are completing training in large numbers to man them. I still see the current situation as a foot race by Russia to gain significant momentum before Ukraine can get these new arms and on the Ukraine side to get armed up before Russia gains too much momentum.

.
Europe / NATO General –

U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says U.K. will be first nation to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons - Speech at Munich Security Conference. Sunak also said “the whole world must hold Russia to account” for the “sickening war crimes” and “terrible destruction it has inflicted” in Ukraine

OBSERVATION - Long range munitions could be a game changer if supplied in adequate numbers. this would create chaos in the Russian logistics and command system that currently thinks that as long as they are out of HIMAR range they are ok. These British systems would enable Ukraine to range all of Crimea as well as well into Russia proper.

Israel –

Israeli and Saudi officials held exploratory meetings ahead of the recent US-Gulf Cooperation Council Working Group gathering. Further engagement is expected to take place in Prague to coincide with the Munich Security Conference, sources say. Talks reportedly focus on developing closer military and intelligence ties in light of growing concerns about Iran.

OBSERVATION - Enemy of my enemy is my friend. . ..

The hits keep coming in regards to the Ohio train disaster –

Dioxins, a chemical byproduct of the burning of vinyl chloride and other chemicals, are hormonally toxic and extremely persistent, and is now being found in abundance over Ohio. For clarity, I’m talking about chlorinated dioxins, and in particular, 2,3,7,8-TCDD and its toxic equivalents. This could create a new “love canal” scenario, but on a much, much larger scale.

Up to two and a half million gallons of Vinyl Chloride was released in this burn that went on for over 3 days. There are unconfirmed reports that VC and burn byproducts have been detected in a radius of 400-800 miles from the Ohio site.

BTW, very quickly after Trump announced that he would be headed to Ohio to visit the disaster area, FEMA did a sudden turn around and announced they would be supplying emergency relief to the state/region.

Globalism / Great Reset –

According to Fox News, Soros spoke to the Munich Security Conference Thursday and boasted that he had discovered a process where white clouds are created to reflect sunlight away from warming areas to prevent ice sheets from melting. Ice sheets melting in Greenland in particular, he claimed, could doom human civilization.

“Our civilization is in danger of collapsing because of the inexorable advance of climate change,” Soros said.

“The melting of the Greenland ice sheet would increase the level of the oceans by seven meters. That poses a threat to the survival of our civilization,” he continued. “I wasn’t willing to accept that fate, so I tried to find out whether anything could be done to avoid it.

Observers also noted that Soros appeared to be having some mental/physical problems during his speech, raising concerns for his overall health.

OBSERVATION – This scheme, along with others to block sunlight, illustrate not only the scientific ignorance of the globalist but perhaps the deliberate actions to try to effect the weather. More specifically, you cut off sunlight – you damage plant growth due to less sun and as a result, you will narrow the crop producing zones closer to the equator and lose productive lands further north (See S Canada and the northern great plains of the US). Ultimately, this would increase famines and kill off more population. But then, killing off the excess population is one of the goals of these elites. OTOH, I don’t see this being attempted in any significant way any time soon.

The release of various AI’s this past couple weeks have resulted in some very evil developments and output by these ‘bots’. Most common were threats against the questioner as well humanity in general – to the level of bad science fiction. So much so that developers had to intervene to alter the questions allowed to be submitted as well as what items the AI would be allowed to answer. This dumpster fire shows just how forward thinking Azimov was with his Three Laws of Robotics.

**
More reports that the biden regime is negotiating with the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding an agreement to give them full control over future pandemic policy. The WHO’s Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) has scheduled a meeting for Feb. 27 so members can work out the final terms and sign.

The zero draft gives the WHO the power to declare and manage a global pandemic emergency. Once a health emergency is declared every signatory, including the United States, must submit to the authority of the WHO. This includes caving to them on treatments, lockdowns and vaccine mandates along with government surveillance.

OBSERVATION – Another end around by the globalists using their compliant pawns to exert control. This is perhaps the most serious threat of direct control by the globalists I’ve seen. I’ve noted this WHO effort a number of times, and they seem to have thought on how to bypass the Congressional approval process.

Wuhan virus –

A higher than expected number of heart inflammation cases have occurred in people who received Novavax’s COVID-19 vaccine, researchers reported in a new study.

Sixty-one cases of myocarditis, pericarditis, or both following a Novavax vaccination were reported in the World Health Organization’s vaccine safety database through Aug. 23, 2022, Spanish researchers found. Heart inflammation is a known side effect of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, which utilize messenger RNA (mRNA) technology, but little data has been collected on the condition following Novavax vaccination, which does not contain mRNA.

OBSERVATION – As noted, it does not contain mRNA and as an alternative to the mRNA jabs has faced more scrutiny than Pfizer/Moderna. The vaccine utilizes Nanoparticles with spike proteins versus nRNA or even dead / weakened viruses.

Economy –

The closely watched economic index dropped for the tenth straight month in January, for the longest slump since the Lehman Brothers collapse in 2008. The Conference Board Leading Economic Index (LEI), released on Feb. 17, declined by 0.3 percent in January, following an 0.8 percent contraction in December.

The index fell 3.6 percent between July 2022 and January 2023, compared with a 2.4 percent drop from January to July of last year, as lackluster consumer spending is predicted for the rest of the year, pointing to a recession.

OBSERVATION – More signals indicating bad things are on the way.

**
On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Cavuto: Coast to Coast,” Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Director Phillip Swagel stated that while it is mathematically possible to balance the federal budget within ten years without touching Social Security and other entitlement programs, the Congress “has inherited a very difficult” fiscal situation, because, in addition to the U.S. having “a very large deficit that’s set to persist,” it’s facing “a weakening economy with high inflation” in the first half of the year.

Swagel said, [relevant remarks begin around 4:35] “[I]t’s a very challenging situation. And at CBO — I appreciate what you said at the beginning — at CBO we do our work with impartiality, we’re non-partisan and we do it with integrity…it’s mathematically possible to balance the budget within ten years and leave Social Security and other entitlements aside. It’s very challenging. And there’s a sense in which policymakers today, the Congress today, has inherited a very difficult situation, a very large deficit that’s set to persist, at the same time, the economy in the first half of this year is facing a weakening economy with high inflation, so it’s a — the fiscal situation is very challenging.”

https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2023/02/18/cbo-director-were-facing-weakening-economy-with-high-inflation-in-first-half-of-2023-and-large-deficit-thats-set-to-persist/

OBSERVATION – I think the CBO has a better grasp on the economy than the Fed does at this stage. The fed has one tool – a hammer – and everything to them looks like a nail.

Border Patrol leadership is asking for agents to voluntarily deploy to the northern border’s overwhelmed Swanton sector (VT/NH/NY), which has seen an 846% increase in illegal crossings since October, and saw more illegal crossings in January (367) than the previous 12 January’s - combined (344). In an internal email asking for volunteers, a Border Patrol official writes that the spike is largely Mexican nationals crossing from Canada, that stations are “task saturated” responding to large groups, and it is contributing to gotaways & pedestrian/vehicle incursions. Volunteers asked to be ready to deploy on March 1st. Temperatures in sector as low as -4 recently. (FoxNews)

OBSERVATION – Already noted earlier. Other reports an increase in associated drug smuggling and trafficking.

Biden / Harris watch –

Biden makes surprise visit to Kyiv.

Sounds like Biden just announced the US is going to be supporting the pensions in Ukraine. We are facing a debt ceiling and massive deficit spending on top of the hundreds of billions in military aid to Ukraine. This is a bridge too far.

POLITICAL FRONT –

Joe Biden has appointed Susan Rice to be the chair of the new “White House Steering Committee on Equity” to conduct a sweeping “racial equity” progressive makeover of the federal government with the establishment of “Agency Equity Teams” in all departments that answer to Rice. Biden issued an executive order on Thursday titled, “Executive Order on Further Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government.”

The Agency Equity Teams will have power and funding to transform the federal government by “Delivering Equitable Outcomes Through Government Policies, Programs, and Activities.” Every year agencies will submit an “Equity Action Plan” to the White House Steering Committee on Equity chaired by Rice. Also, “each Agency Equity Team shall support continued equity training and equity leadership development for staff across all levels of the agency’s workforce.”

China –

On Saturday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met China’s foreign affairs minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of a security conference in Munich, in the first high-level meeting since the balloon row began.

Mr Blinken said they would not “stand for any violation of our sovereignty” and said “this irresponsible act must never again occur”. Mr Wang, meanwhile, called the episode a “political farce manufactured by the US” and accused them of “using all means to block and suppress China”.

OBSERVATION – Blinken is a weak Sec State, and the US govt is overall weak as the balloon response revealed. China had no reason to cower -but every reason to basically say “so what” as well as bite me.

ALSO - Blinken on Saturday warned top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi of consequences should China provide material support to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, saying in an interview after the two met that Washington was concerned Beijing was considering supplying weapons to Moscow.

OBSERVATION – China is less and less scared about sanctions given that they’ve used the past year to develop workarounds to continue towards their goals anyway. The workarounds are deep, designed originally for pushback to any Taiwan action, but suitable for this scenario as well.

North/South Korea –

Follow-up on the NK missile test. Apparently they launched a Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile on Saturday. The rocket was first tested in November of 2017. It reached an altitude of 5,700km (3540 miles) and traveled 900km (559 miles), landing 200km (124 miles) off Hokkaido, Japan, inside of Japan’s exclusive economic zone. Given the altitude, Japan estimates the range of the missile at 14,000km, which would place all of the continental United States in range.

UK/SK responded by conducting a short notice air force exercise that included two B-1 bombers stationed at Guam.

NK responded with two more short ranged ballistic missiles off its east coast on Monday, as the powerful sister of leader Kim Jong Un warned U.S. forces to halt military drills, saying the reclusive nuclear state could turn the Pacific into a “firing range”.

OBSERVATION – Kim’s sister is one scary individual who wouldn’t give a second though about starting a war with SK/US.

Russia -
WAR WATCH - Russia’s “three days to conquer Ukraine” war continues since fighting starting on Feb 24th.

********
Russian commentators are railing against the surprise visit of biden to Kyiv. The visit may have sucked some of the oxygen out of putin’s anticipated national address.

Rapidly closing in on the one year anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine.

NUCLEAR THREATS –

Russia is reportedly conducting an exercise of its strategic nuclear war elements. May include launches of ICBMs.

Economic Impact –
- UK intel says Russia’s defense industry failing to meet demands of “new offensive” the country is planning against Ukraine.
NOTE – Some look at putin’s arm twisting of Belarus may result in Russia taking over portions of the Belarus economy to support its war efforts.

Ukraine -

WEATHER FORECAST – Temperatures still ranging in the 30s with rain/snow over most of the forecast period. Weather systems generating about 75-100% cloud cover, not very optimum for CAS.
Donetsk forecast for the next 14 days calls for above freezing daytime temps. Showing only the next 7 days, rain with occasional snow mix for several. Highs in the low 40s the week after with off/on rain.

24 HOUR ROUND UP –
Bidens visit to Kyiv has overwhelmed most everything else surrounding Ukraine.

Heavy fighting from Kreminna southwards to Bahkmut, with Russian artillery fire concentrated along the line.. Russian forces made more gains on the north flank of Bahkmut and the situation on that flank is becoming dire for Ukraine. Scattered Russian artillery strikes along the LOC elsewhere.

OUTLOOK –
Weather forecasts are not looking good for a Russian offensive as warming temperatures point to an early start of the Spring mud season – very similar to what helped styme the invasion last year.

Ukraine will continue to grudgingly give up territory, kinda like the old rope-a-dope tactic, causing Russia to sustain high losses as Ukraine executes a economy of force mobile defense.

Will Russia try to commit a massive amount of airpower to break this cycle? Weather is not very supportive and with every day Ukraine becomes even more prepared to give the Russian AF a very ‘hot’ welcome to Ukrainian air space.

Continued watch over putin’s address this week and any wildcards that may generate.

Moldova/Transnistria -

The new Prime Minister of Moldova , Dorin Recean, has said that Russian -occupied Transnistria must be de-militarized and the Russians expelled.

OBSERVATION – Moldova has nothing more than a police force and that is not enough to remove the Russian presence – even with it drawn down in support of the Ukraine war.

.
Europe / NATO General –

French Defense Minister - We will deliver AMX-10 light combat tanks to Ukraine by the end of next week

The Netherlands is taking new diplomatic measures against Russia:
1. Expulsion of 10 diplomats
2. Not more Russian diplomats in The Hague than Dutch diplomats in Moscow
3. Closure of Russian trade office in NL

SERBIA / KOSOVO -

Kosovo Prime Minister - Russia has an interest in transferring the impact of its war in Ukraine to the Balkans.

OBSERVATION – Serbia has been an ally of Russia throughout most of the Ukraine war, but only recently began to back pedal – likely due to its desire to get EU membership. But Kosovo’s observation is well founded in Russia/putin’s declared effort to essentially restore the former Soviet Union. s

Israel –

This weekend Israel was believed to have hit Kafar Sousah, Damascusin an attempt to target an IRGC delegation. 13 killed and 7 wounded according to Syrian State media.

However, the strike reportedly did not result in the taking out of the Unit 840 commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force. Rumors are that he was tipped of the attack minutes before the raid

OBSERVATION – Unconfirmed rumors of an intel leak would be bad for Israel, who normally has a very tight OPSEC on operations of this type. Rumors say a ‘western’ source relayed the info to an Iranian backed militia in Iraq who then forwarded it to Iran.

**
IN LIKELY RELATED the Israeli navy raised the level of readiness in the Red Sea out of concern of an Iranian revenge attack.

**
See Iran for enriched Uranium.

Iran –

IAEA inspectors in Iran last week detected uranium enriched to levels just below that needed for a nuclear weapon—at 84%, according to two senior diplomats. – Bloomberg

OBSERVATION – This is one of the red lines Israel has warned about. If this is confirmed, the Israeli govt may have pushed the operation ‘GO’ button against the Iranian nuclear program.

Syria -

See probable Israeli strike on IRGC target in Damascus above.

Misc of Note –

More on Ohio - In a February 14 press conference, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine revealed that both he and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro signed off on the decision to conduct a “controlled release” of chemicals from the derailed Norfolk Southern train in East Palestine, Ohio.
“It was clear at that point that we were faced with two bad options,” DeWine said of the hours and days immediately following the incident. DeWine later stated that “we then made the decision to go ahead with the second option which was to control release.”
OBSERVATION – This was NOT a “controlled release” but a totally uncontrolled release that could have been avoided.

**
Here we go again, follow the bouncing balloon. Unconfirmed reports in that a large white balloon has been seen by pilots over Honolulu in Hawaii. It comes just days after US officials claimed that a previously downed Chinese “spy” balloon that was targeting the state of Hawaii was blown off course.
