These workers who quit are not very smart. I would have stayed, and who knows what I would get in return for my loyalty? Maybe stock options, possibly promotions down the line. I think if you show loyalty, you will be rewarded in the end. Quitting now in the face of a recession and tech layoffs is just plain stupid.
I guess all of these former IT folks can get jobs at coal mines.
If 99.4% of Twitter Staff was fired and the place still runs they will walk into their next employment knowing they weren't worth much.

Sounds about right. There are usually very few people in an organization that KNOW how stuff works at the bits and bytes level. I’ve been in that position and it just glazed my eyes to hear others talk about how they thought things actually worked.

This shows everyone that it really only took 50 technical people to keep it running. The rest were woke leftists in a highly deformed and bloated machine designed to further leftist doctrine. They were likely also supplemented (paid) by Democrats.

Ditto. It seems to me, some cash flow is better than no cash flow. Also their next job interviews should be interesting. The first question I would have to a job applicant from Twitter is, why did you leave Twitter? There are only 2 answers. They were either fired or quit. If it is the latter, the job applicant should hope the interviewers are Musk haters as well..

I’m not entirely surprised by this. A website will pretty much run itself, for the most part unless you make changes to it. The real test is when he wants to make a major change. Also need to make sure that some of the daily/weekly maint stuff that might not be going on any more doesn’t bite in the ass. He should have at least 10% of the people that are left doing nothing but documentation and validation of stuff already documented. Server health has to be maintained as well from both the front and backend perspectives. I’d be looking really hard at that stuff. It’s probably all Unix/Linux systems so it will run a while without issues, but you have to be prepared. Also need to watch out for bombs set by folks who were fired.
Yes. We create some very complex programs, one has over a million lines of code. The end user needs no technical skill at all, besides opening Excel and being able to navigate files. It is all click of the mouse easy. And all of our solutions require no IT support, other than initial setup, and if they make changes to databases.
