Does the White House staffer who tweeted this not know that the increase is due to Biden's inflation and is not something to brag about?

And it still won’t cover the current inflation

The only thing Biden did was to create runaway inflation which, by law, bumped the SS COLA by one of the largest percentages in history.

NOMINAL increase — yes
REAL increase (the thing that matters) — NO!

Typical politician.

If inflation were running at 1,000% per annum and we got a 900% Social Security increase, would they also be bragging?

It's automatic according to the law.

Will Biden next take credit for a great increase in the electricity production of solar panels in Washington, DC, tomorrow morning at 7:36 AM?

And anybody with 2 brain cells to rub together knows that the COLA has already been wiped out by INFLATION.

CAUSED. DELIBERATELY. BY. JOTATO.

BFD! he’s still saying the Republicans will take medicare and social security away. OMG 60 years of elections and they are still saying that at election time? Seems like the Republicans are sleeping at the job, they haven’t succeeded yet after 60 years? The Big Lie still lives on.

Joe Biden was collecting over $4500 per month just in Social Security Payments, so he gave himself a nice little raise too.

And That’s on top of what he gets paid as President, whatever he gets paid as Vice President ‘retirement’ his 40 years of Senate Retirement ... Plus the ‘10% for The Big Guy’ he collects on every deal he makes.

Larger SS payments due to high inflation is nothing for Biden to tout about. High inflation hurts the economy and jobs. Also - as interest rates rise federal payments on the debt will increase and swallow up the budget.

Yes! Increased to 2 grams per week!

That baseless claim that it used to be 4 grams per week is far-right misinformation.

Peanuts.....
Will cause hardly a ripple in our senior’s sinking income and savings.
Doesn’t even make up for the spiking fuel costs , which is where all my SSA benefits will be sucked up.

Stupid , easily led, low information, myopic, voters will be impressed however . As they were we with Obama phones

it works out to an average of about $100 a month for most people

but I know for sure, costs of non-discretionary basic necessities is up at least $100 a week

Gas and groceries prices doubled.

A 5% increase in Social Security in that context is nothing less than a freaking INSULT.

To imply that Joe Stolen did us any favors whatsoever is an even worse INSULT.

Biden is a disgusting piece of filth who never worked a real job in his life, like the vast majority of his fellow travelers in the Deep State.
