Video: https://twitter.com/RNCResearch/status/1585733743179956224 The New York Times recently tried to convince the public that Biden’s pathological dishonesty about easily verified facts is just “folksiness,” calling his lies “exaggeration,” “falsehood,” “claims,” “embellishing,” and “stories.” Really anything but “lies.” And yet, Biden continues to blatantly lie to the American public, probably because he is no longer able to distinguish reality from his delusional fantasy world. Today, he claimed that “today, the most common price of gas in America is $3.39, down from over $5 when I took office.” First of all, I’m not sure where he’s getting his current gas price number because the average price of gas in America is $3.76, according to AAA. But technically, that’s not what he said, is it. He said “the most common price of gas,” which is different than the average price of gas. And the number is lower, too, which looks better for him when people simply assume he means “average.” That’s manipulative, and that’s clearly why they chose to have him say it like that. I’m honestly surprised he got that little bit of language manipulation correct. I don’t know that I’d have trusted him to say those exact words exactly right. What if he misunderstood and said “average,” which could then be fact checked as false since that is not actually the current average price of gas. Then he goes on to claim that gas was “over $5” when he came into office. That isn’t even CLOSE to true. The average price of gas was $2.39/gallon when Biden took over. But really, who’s going to care about yet another Biden gaffe, right? Probably CNN will be obligated to publish a cursory fact-check stating that Biden was incorrect. But they don’t find it concerning that he lies willy nilly about whatever he wants because he has no grasp on reality and is seemingly accountable to no one. By the way, even the people who were required to be at this event were bored and frustrated that it was taking so long. Check out this hot mic video. Well that’s weird. The text was black in the preview.
Explain what? They’ll just keep repeating it for the next 12 days. And many will believe them.
I believe you’re right on the money with that $2.39 figure. I believe it was $2.09 here at the Sam’s Club in Texas. Bidet is full of ****.
It’s “nuance.”
Ministry of Truth decides what is reality.
How will Dems try to explain this one away?]
They’ll lie....were you expecting a different approach?
Democrat politicians are serial liars. A well known and established fact.
This criminal enterprise known as the Biden Regime takes that serial liar label to an entirely different level. Not even within the realm of reality. They just make stuff up as they go along expecting the corrupt media to continue covering for them.
There is no justification for this kind of lying. It’s not a mistake. It’s flat out lying.
It was $2.32 at our local gas station. I took a photo of it on Jan. 20th. The day he took office.
Joe can’t stop lying
Just like Hillary
2.21 here in upstate
They will say it WAS over $5 a gallon... in Europe. (That’s what he really meant.)
How would he know?
I wonder when the last time he actually drove a car was, much less paid for gas himself.
This was in prepared remarks, right? So his speech writer but that sentence in there for him to deliver. Will Biden supporters believe this bald-faced lie and repeat it over the next two weeks.
“ They’ll just keep repeating it for the next 12 days”
The Democrat strategy usually has one person tell a bold face lie and then the disinformation media repeats it over and over, without legally lying, by saying …. …..according to so-and-so, whatever…..”.
In this instance, however, I do not think it will work like it usually does because every American who drives a car knows exactly what has happened with gas prices since Biden has been in office.
Not everyone buys gas but everyone buys food and so it doesn’t matter how the White House twists the statistics, everyone knows that food prices are increasing dramatically.
Gas was $1.89 a gallon at HEB in Houston 1/20/2020.
It was $1.69 per gallon here in Maine on March 31, 2020.
