Governor Ron DeSantis this week suspended Soros-backed Florida prosecutor Andrew Warren.
DeSantis suspended the state attorney because he refused to enforce Florida’s abortion laws.
"Warren said that it doesn’t matter what the legislature does in the state of Florida. He is going to exercise a veto over that. He’s also instituted policies of ‘presumptive non-enforcement’…that is not consistent with the role of a prosecutor. You can exercise discretion in individual case, but that discretion has to be individualized and case specific,” DeSantis said as he announced Warren’s suspension.
Andrew Warren ran to the lefty media to complain about DeSantis’ decision to suspend him, calling the move “blatantly unconstitutional.”
"[DeSantis] does not have the authority to suspend me … the people elected me to serve in this position and I am going to continue doing it,” Warren said on CBS News on Friday.

Everything you say is correct except for getting the FBI involved. Keep that bunch out of it.
Isn’t he part of their crimes of the criminals though? How is he not guilty of conspiracy in their crimes if he’ll just have a blanket policy of ignoring the law and allowing them to go free?
If he lets a burglar go free and the burglar commits another crime how is this prosecutor not also guilty? Same with any other crime he won’t enforce...
We need to see some of these prosecutors in handcuffs and do some time. Otherwise Soro’s is just going to do more of this.
So now the thing to yell is “This is unconstitutional” every time they don’t like something. Oh brother.
Prosecute him for conspiracy to obstruct justice. Him and his pals who are in concert should be arrested. Take it to the next f’ing level.

That’s the way it usually works when common-sense, lawful, patriotic action is taken at any level.
I would fully expect DeSantis to have his ducks all lined up before he made a move that would trigger the left so much.
In that case, I expect he does have the authority and knew it.
What part of “suspension” does he not understand?

Here is what the Florida Constitution says:
SECTION 7. Suspensions; filling office during suspensions.—
(a) By executive order stating the grounds and filed with the custodian of state records, the governor may suspend from office any state officer not subject to impeachment, any officer of the militia not in the active service of the United States, or any county officer, for malfeasance, misfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony, and may fill the office by appointment for the period of suspension. The suspended officer may at any time before removal be reinstated by the governor.
(b) The senate may, in proceedings prescribed by law, remove from office or reinstate the suspended official and for such purpose the senate may be convened in special session by its president or by a majority of its membership.
This Soros dummy State Attorney Andrew Warren has no case in court, and since the Florida Senate is Republican and conservative, he has about the same chance of getting reinstated by the Florida Senate as a snowball would of surviving a summer day under a full Florida sun.
Whatever case he may have can be mooted by throwing a usurpation felony charge at him. It’s something that should be done to all these rogue prosecutors in every state.
The governors are elected by more voters than the DA. In NY the governor can fire a DA.
Are you sayin if a DA breaks the law or his oath no one can do anything about it except the voters come election time.

Never really heard of an elected official being fired for doing a piss poor job and there are plenty who just that. Always thought any elected official had to go through a recall procedure.
Aren’t they trying to recall a DA in Cali? Maybe it varies by state.
DeSantis has the authority to suspend an elected official, and it’s not the first time he has done it.

Supervisor Bucher demonstrated she was unable to comply with the laws of our state and her duties as the Supervisor of Elections and failed to accurately report information related to the number of ballots that had been cast.
For these reasons, I am suspending Susan Bucher as Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, effective immediately. It is time to turn the page in Palm Beach County to ensure accountability and transparency from our elections officials.
BTW, Rick Scott got rid of the Broward Supervisor of Elections when he was Governor.
