Obama is a naive child. He thought that he could let the beast out of its cage (limited by the boundaries of morality) and it would behave like a nice little velociraptor.

It didn't occur to him that it might develop a mind of its own and, like Dr. Frankenstein's monster, run amok in the countryside.

He thought that he could introduce into our society his postmodern ideas of free stuff (i.e., communism), reality is what you want it to be, sexual decadence/deviancy for everyone, etc. and the country would turn to him and his ilk for their leadership.
