Congress has been wasting our money for years taking vacations and calling them fact-finding trips, or whatever. The president and state department should be the only ones doing any diplomatic work, so why do congressmen get to take these trips?
It makes me mad that a single member of our military should risk his or her life to protect that old crook. She has no business going anywhere but to a liquor store.

The reason is the weather around Taiwan—the best weather for an invasion is September and October—August is a no go.

How is it nonsense? If Pelosi goes to Taiwan, China loses face and the PR war. Conversely, if Pelosi doesn’t go to Taiwan, China gets to thump its chest and crow, and the US will look bad. Yet, you say that is nonsense.
The supposed trip to Taiwan may indeed by nonsense; but that wasn’t the basis of the comment.
China speaks loudly but carries a little stick.
Chicoms are the opposite of Putin in the sense that they take a long term view with all actions. They will not shoot down a plane and provoke a war with the USA that they cannot win.
To paraphrase Robin Williams, “We will end you” if chicoms kill Pelosi. They won’t take the risk.

It is nonsense in the fact that it is for nothing. Why did she go? Why now? Why does she get to spend millions of dollars and risk our military for her sorry old butt to go anywhere?
