Someone tasked with protecting an official looks at potential harm to the person he's protecting, not himself.
I'm not defending Byrd's action but this "expert" brings nothing to the conversation.

I'm glad there are people who can access the Epoch Times and relay articles like this. But I can't access because it's a pay site, and I get tired of that website in particular withholding information just because we can't/won't pay for the information.

The lawyer for the shooter is full of it. She was akwardly stuck in the window and could have been easily taken into custody. There us no way she could have used deadly force even if she were armed in her position. Police were right there next to her and could have arrested her easily.

Looking at the video of the shot I would surmise that it was a thought out action. I suspect the shooter had instructions to “shoot somebody,” because some capital violence was needed for the narrative.
