A Georgetown University law professor says Americans are “slaves” to the U.S. Constitution as their adherence to that document — written by a “tiny group of white slave-owning men” — has turned the country into a “war zone.”
Rosa Brooks made the comparison yesterday on MSNBC’s Joy Reid show and highlighted the recent mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois.
“[T]here are people all over the world who have lived during armed conflicts, and when does the mortar fall on your house, when does the soldier or the tank come down the street and just kill you,” Brooks said. “We are now living in that world, too, and we have brought it on ourselves.”
“That world” obviously would be due to the Second Amendment to the Constitution, and according to Brooks “we are essentially slaves to a document that was written more than 230 years ago.”
“And we cannot break out of the bondage that we have imposed on ourselves from feeling like we have to– everything by our Supreme Court is decided in reference to this ancient document which is just not serving us well,” Brooks continued. “It is causing enormous problems and enormous tragedies at this point.”
Did the law professor forget that the “ancient document” established a very clear procedure by which to “break out of [its] bondage”? It’s called Article V.

That’s why people are running in phere like lemmings trying to get away from all that freedom around the world. God knows the stupid politicians do their best to undo the constitution as it was written.
There’s another name for university professors that want to rip up the constitution: communists. The cure is much worse than the disease. Not to mention if the left successfully cancelled the 2A, they wouldn’t stop there.
If have an income, you’re a slave to the federal and state income tax.
If you own property, you’re a slave for the county property taxes.
If you eat, buy anything, you’re a slave to sales taxes.
See, conservative can play this game but better!
Does he realize that discarding the Constitution doesn't end the country, but just reverts back to the 50 state governments, each with their own state constitutions?

Nice little country you got there. Wouldn’t wanna see nuthin’ happen to it, like violence in the streets and a constitutional crisis. So better give Biden a landslide—capiche? That’s the very unsubtle message the Washington Post sent readers on Thursday by posting a column by Rosa Brooks, head of the so-called “Transition Integrity Project.” The supposed goal of the project was to game out various election scenarios.
