Ditto. I don’t think Roberts is that stupid. If that is his strategy, and Kav or one of the others do cave, then it will mean that the pressure campaign worked... which will be disastrous for the Court. It will mean that on any and every future controversial issue, the (apparently) losing side will have a huge incentive to leak. I mean, what would they have to lose? If the majority sticks, then the minority is no worse off than if they hadn’t leaked.
Correct. This sort of accusation lets the real perp off the hook.
That’s what I think...I do think Roberts may be hiding that person (that is, the Justice whose office it came from) because the Justices are very into collegiality.
I think that’s great so that they don’t form cliques or divide into left and right. But the problem is that neither of the two new leftists respects this...especially Sotomayor, who is totally unqualified but was picked almost for this reason, and is actually (I think) the most political and least collegial of them all.
I have zero respect for Roberts. Sometimes you can tell by looking. There’s something off about him, and he cannot be trusted.

I wouldn’t put it past Roberts, who has been an anti-Constitutional turncoat on multiple important decisions. But I’ve assumed all along it was one of the Liberal justices who have similar motives... but not a compromise... Even more plausible might be that it is a collusion between a lib justice (or their staffers) and someone like Schumer or another radical in Congress...
But regardless - the delay in releasing the decision is rather troubling and only seems to make things worse. The violent LEFT is going to blow up no matter when it’s released. Probably something far closer to REAL insurrection... but the media and officials will pawn it off like the BLM riots of 2020...
So opinions will be issued by Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Kagan, Sotonmayer, Alito, Breyer, Thomas and Roberts....in that order.

If Roberts wanted compromise in the final decision, and he knew that there were already 5 solid votes to overturn, then he would have also voted to overturn just so he could write the majority opinion himself and put in the compromises he desired.

If it turns out that, somehow, the Court decides to affirm Roe v Wade and leave abortion as a holy sacrament of the Left ... well, I think there might be trouble.
Personally, I think that is what they are aiming for,
then they will come down hard on the right because
