This is exactly why all US Citizens should be ENCOURAGED to become proficient in Fire arm training and carrying. We cannot expect the police to be able to protect us.

Here in LA, Commiefornia, you can’t even expect the police to show up at all.

The shooter who killed 19 children and two teachers reportedly barricaded himself inside as police waited outside for 40 minutes.

Hard to believe!

The Supreme Court has ruled a number of times that police are NOT obligated to place themselves into harms way in order to rescue or protect anyone. Their arms are specifically to protect themselves. Many policemen have that job because they like to lord over people, not to protect them.

Self-protection needs to be the rule. That is a secondary aspect of the Second Amendment. Schools in Georgia have armed security officers. It is amazing that is not the case in Texas of all places.

The government (state and federal) needs to come under enormous pressure from the citizens in order to abolish the un-Constitutional curbs placed upon our right and duty to defend ourselves and our children. Especially in light of the fact that law enforcement officers have no skin in the game.

This also occurred at the Columbine shooting. Police are not under any obligation to place themselves at risk. They are there to apprehend the culprit, not to stop the violence.

Citizens need to apply pressure to restore their Second Amendment Rights and duties. Police have no skin in the game.

Lol @ asking questions. You already exposed yourself. You don't get respect. That's a privilege honest people earn.

You mischaracterized, lied, bore false witness in an as obnoxious and snarky way as you could muster in order to trash Macho MAGA Man. No way I'm taking you seriously.

Here's your prize: Nothing.

“Oh they get the alpha people, they’re the ones that cost cities a lot of money in lawsuits for treating people like garbage.”

The alphas I’ve known are extremely polite. We don’t have to be angry or bad because we’re self confident. What you’re describing is an a$$hole. That can be either, but my take on the ones I’ve met is that they are compensating for something.

This should be a lesson to EVERYONE who cries “Blue Lives Matter”.

Because YOUR life and the life of your children does not matter to them.

The civil society would be safer if we disbanded all police agencies and implemented vigilante justice.

“We cannot expect the police to be able to protect us.”

I saw 3 cops in the video with vests and AR-15s.

They were able to protect.

They chose not to.

Uvalde Residents Voice Frustration Over Shooting Response
By Rob Copeland, Elizabeth Findell and Douglas Belkin
May 26, 2022 2:02 pm ET

UVALDE, Texas—Residents here expressed anger and frustration Thursday about the time it took for law enforcement to end an elementary-school shooting in which 19 children and two teachers died, as videos circulated on social media showing parents confronting police outside the building.

Ms. Gomez, a farm supervisor, said that she was one of numerous parents who began encouraging—first politely, and then with more urgency—police and other law enforcement to enter the school. After a few minutes, she said, federal marshals approached her and put her in handcuffs, telling her she was being arrested for intervening in an active investigation.

Ms. Gomez convinced local Uvalde police officers whom she knew to persuade the marshals to set her free. Around her, the scene was frantic. She said she saw a father tackled and thrown to the ground by police and a third pepper-sprayed. Once freed from her cuffs, Ms. Gomez made her distance from the crowd, jumped the school fence, and ran inside to grab her two children. She sprinted out of the school with them.
