President Trump remains one of the most popular figures in the Republican Party. A vast majority want him to run again in 2024, and he has blown out other potential primary opponents in almost every poll.
The Republican establishment realizes that they cannot defeat Trump at the ballot box, so they have taken after Democrats by using underhanded tactics to defeat America First candidates.
RINOs in Tennessee passed a law that would prevent candidates who haven’t voted in the last three general elections from running, a bill that was primarily targeted at America First candidates.
Now, they have removed three Trump-supporting Congressional candidates from the primary ballot in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District.
The Executive Committee offered no public explanation for its decision and has refused requests for comment.
The Epoch Times Reports–
“The Tennessee GOP has voted to remove three candidates who were vying for a seat representing the state’s 5th Congressional District.
Republicans voted to boot Morgan Ortagus, Robby Starbuck, and Baxter Lee from the primary ballot, Tennessee Republican Chairman Scott Golden told news outlets.
Golden and the party did not respond to requests for more information.
Ortagus, a State Department spokeswoman during the Trump administration, was recently endorsed by former President Donald Trump.
Starbuck, a filmmaker who used to live in California, has promoted Trump policies such as strong border enforcement.

Correct. If it were a law, it would be unconstitutional.
Since it is a political party bylaw, they are free to limit their party candidates as they choose. I just disagree with it.
You prefer the PA GOP Carpetbagger rules?
Rules that are allowing OZ to run for Senate.
If his positions were good, I wouldn't want a Bunch of establishment hacks on a committee preventing him from entering the primary.
It’s obvious that the Republican party is a good ole boy club.
And even if you join and pay your dues, there are the blue bloods, the royalty, that are getting pulled up by daddy, other relatives and those that owe their position to the family. You can see how these twerps are groomed, for example the Bush’s.
The Republicans put some dud in front of their base and basically tell them, “vote for him or else someone worse could win!”
That is why I dislike being associated with this party. I actually don’t like them. There are to many McCains, McConnell’s and Romney’s among their ranks for me to get a warm and fuzzy.
Trump and Reagan were anomalies. Both simply could not get shut down or out because they were to clever, quick, experienced... to get thumped in the head by the entitled twerps and their enablers.
Some people just get get shut out that easy:
Occasionally you get a Trump, a Reagan, maybe a Cruz and deSantis, but the norm for this party are Dole, McCain, Romney, Bush, Bush, Bush. Luke warm conservatives that are compassionate and reach across the aisles i.e. spinless, valueless cowards, that go with what the MSM and bureocracy wants, that say one thing but then do another.
Kentucky.
Another absurd and false headline.
They didn’t live here, and Baxter Lee voted in the 2020 Dem primary for President.
A State Legislature can change the qualifications for candidacy based upon past voting or not?
Exactly, it has to be illegal to add qualifications.
Then what is HB 1201?
Yep the article has it backwards. This is MAGA people who’ve recently got into the GOP and recognize these candidates as future establishment RINOs.
Starbuck a former dem from Cali.
Ortagus is just a professional political climber who bounces between fedgov, private sector and fox contributor. In an email, she said she’d be happy to work for the incoming Biden admin. She was also a neverTrumper before she whored her way into the Trump admin.
Trump really does have a weakness for hotties and anyone who acts like they’re in awe of him - kisses his ass.
I have no idea who the third person is but I imagine TNGOP does.

Was Starbuck a Democrat?
Source?
Thought someone here said it. Could be mistaken.
At least two of them support Trump. I'd have to check out the third guy.
About it being RINO's who tossed the three candidates, we don't know. As far as I can tell the vote tally by the committee has not been released.
States get to set their own voting laws.
You would prefer the feral government do it?
“It is worse than you think.”
It IS worse than you think. Check out SB 2501.
“New bill would REQUIRE Black history to be taught in Tennessee classrooms.”
“April 18, 2022 at 10:12 pm CDT MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Black history could be a requirement in schools across the state of Tennessee starting next year.
“This comes after the state legislature passed a bill with flying colors last week. It now sits on the desk of Gov. Bill Lee.”
“The bill passed the Senate with a vote of 27 to 3 and the House of Representatives 80 to 2.”
In TENNESSEE! What’s wrong with our pols?
Neither. In this case of candidate qualifications, it's the political party's that should set their own bylaws, which is what happened here.
Sadly, most of these headlines have been written by people that either don’t know the situation surrounding these three candidates or they’re outsiders (or both). Virtually no locals here are criticizing the decision by the TN GOP SEC. It’s not some conspiracy to keep Trump candidates off the ballot. If it was, they’d be keeping Andy Ogles off the ballot both as a pro-Trumper and as the most Conservative candidate running.
If those other three were legit pro-Trumpers stayed on the ballot along with Ogles, we’d have ended up nominating the most RINO candidate, ex-Speaker Harwell.
That is not a voting law, it is adding requirements to run for office. I assume those requirements cannot be changed. Can perhaps a State write a law that makes the legal age to run for office 55? What Tennessee is doing seems more like what Libtards do than Conservatives who want maximum liberty.
