Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov spoke by telephone with Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniya. According to Haniya Lavrov, he praised Hamas' position "against American hegemony", condemned Israel's use of "excessive [sic] force" against civilians and expressed reservations about the normalization between Arab states and Israel. In the Russian version it did not appear...

The point is not so much about Russumia flexing anti American muscle as exposing Hamas posing as “just” anti Israel... or anti fake-upation.
This “against American hegemony” will become the new rallying cry that Russia will be pushing in the year ahead. They receive no military benefit from supporting Hamas, it’s entirely for propaganda purposes, since the rest of the world sees the Palestinians as oppressed underdogs. So Russia is hoping to set up a realignment of the world’s countries, where the US and Europe (and to a lesser extent Israel) will be seen as the imperialistic bad guys in the emerging New World order.
Israel’s government is making its bed by shouting its mouth against Russia in the UN. Given that the US is willing to give Iran the bomb to replace the Russian oil, I think 30 years of relative peace and prosperity of Israel are over.

Exactly where God wanted it. Perhaps you haven’t bothered to read the prophecies, but it was foretold that Israel would be dispersed and have to wander among the nations for a long time until God regathered them.

Is that what Russian schools taught you? I’m not sure how anyone could get history so muddled, but Israel was created by a UN partition of the British ruled Palestine, which the British seized from the Ottomans in WWI (after the Russians abandoned their alliance in that war, so they had no part in the peace settlement).
The US and the UK were against it.
