Renacci gets endorsement from GOP in Ohio’s second-most-populous county, shocks DeWine

Gov. Mike DeWine showed up at the Cuyahoga County Republican Party endorsement meeting Saturday expecting a victory. Instead, challenger Jim Renacci grabbed the GOP endorsement.

“Our campaign to deliver accountable conservative leadership to Ohio continues to surge and we are thrilled to have the support of the Cuyahoga County Republican Party,” Renacci told The Ohio Press Network (OPN).

DeWine entered the Independence Civic Center to cheers from members of his welcoming committee—people who are part of the DeWine reelection campaign who attended to whip support. The mood quickly changed, however, when the governor entered the event space where members of the county central committee and executive committee were assembled.

“He was clearly booed by the crowd when he was introduced to the members,” said Cuyahoga County Republican Party Central and Executive Committee member Shannon Burns, who spoke to the group on behalf of Renacci Saturday. Burns also serves on the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee (ORP SCC).

“That’s why they didn’t have DeWine come out of his basement to attend the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee meeting in February because he would have been booed there too,” Burns told OPN....

It would be so great to see DeWine lose.

I’m not voting for him. Among other things, he is too old and needs to retire. We don’t need politicians in office for 50 years.

ALL of the Bush League Republicans need to lose in a primary.

Why are we re-electing Amnesty Senators?

That’s the opposite of MAGA.

DeWine & Kasich are top tier RINO leftists.

Precinct Strategy: https://precinctstrategy.com/

I was there to participate in the vote that removed the endorsement for DeWine.

DeWine has complete control over the Ohio Republican Party. The fix is in.
There is a lot of unrest in the party committee. He has successfully shut down any discussion.
This shocked him!!
Wonderful!

He Has To GO!
He is a dictator.
He is no better than his aged colleague demented old Joe.

Oh I agree. When the vaccine mandates came down from on high..it was near impossible to leave any kind of message. I finally was able to email his communications director and ironically that Avenue was closed off later in the day. Months later , I received a lukewarm response.

The folksy press conferences during COVID were nauseating. “Fran is baking cookies… Fran and I….” I would look at my husband as say “Oh for crying out loud , he sounds like Mr. Rogers “

Talk about not being able to read a room. Mr Magoo was booed at Trump rally 9/21/20.

I refuse to vote for DeWine again. I don’t care if he is running against the ghost of Jeffery Dahmer. He will not get my vote.

The GOP better find someone else to run.

Expecting a victory???

Of course he is because he feels entitled to it. Isn't it his turn, after all?

We need to put those uppity conservatives and Trumpers in their place! Just who do they think they are to judge by results rather than pedigrees? < / sarcasm >

DeWine signed SB 256, which gave my grandmother’s killer a “meaningful opportunity for release.” I wrote him a heartfelt handwritten letter, with not even a form letter response from him. I regret having ever campaigned for this legally and figuratively blind midget RINO.

People do not age the same. Trump hit a hole in one last week. For real... the old fart did it while playing with some champions. Simply amazing.
