Lara Logan Gives a Brutally Honest Assessment of Ukraine and U.S. Politics
March 20, 2022
Lara Logan is not the type of journalist who will pull punches when she shares insight and information. Logan cuts to the chase and avoids pretending the issues are something other than what reality exists.
In this short interview segment, Lara Logan outlines her brutally honest perspective on why Ukraine is ultimately so important to people in power within the DC system.
My own Ukraine map study, for your consideration.
Don’t expect many intelligent replies.

“If Russian Crimea has to be handed over to Ukraine, again, then for sure we have to give Hawaii back to the Hawaiians. “
Does this mean you didn’t know that Hawaii was invaded by Tahitians, conquering the original people who were there?
“Our annexation of Hawaii was done by brute military force, under the policy of “Manifest Destiny.”
Wow how terrible, just like the Hawaiian people did to Hawaii.
“We just outright stole Hawaii, because we wanted it”
Just like the Hawaiians did.
Thanks for posting!
—great historical analysis—
Well I’m nervous about communist expansion. So let’s just take over all of the countries south of our border
Excellent work.
I’ve been saying more or less the same thing until I got blue in the face.
The one part of map #1 that’s wrong is it doesn’t show Stalin’s annexation of 1/3 of Poland after 1945 (which is now “Western Ukraine”), and which before it was Poland was Austria.
I get it that those people want to be “Europeans”. Fine. But they don’t get to take the Russian part along with them.
I’ve written this on other threads... half of my family is from Ukraine. They;ve been in Kiev since the 1600’s, they’ve always referred to themselves as Russian, never Ukrainian as that was the Catholic western area. The Soviets coercively moved populations around to break up ethnic tribalism. The current nation referred to as Ukraine, is half Russian and Kiev is considered the birthplace of Rus culture. But this has changed since 91 where a push began to create a Ukrainian cultural identity and nationalism.
While no one wants war, there are certainly groups of cultural Russians who are not that upset with becoming Russia, as they feel more connected to that culture.
I don’t care if it’s spelled “Kiow” and the Sarmatians are owed reparations - still none of America’s business.
Good work, sir.
If the people of Ukraine wish to secede from a tyranny, they should be allowed to.
Thank you for a history lesson with maps.
Since we’re talking political/military history, and the fact that Russians know it very well while many Americans do not - it should be noted that the West burned Moscow to a crisp. Napoleon and the French, 1812.
I know you know that, but many do not, or need to look at what is going on from a Russian perspective. And that event very much affects that perspective.
Lara is the opitamy of ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’.
Something to add in support of your materials is Russia’s stated six demands.
1. No NATO membership and a neutral position.
2. Russian should be the second official language of Ukraine, with laws prohibiting it abolished.
3. Recognise Crimea as Russian territory.
4. Recognise the independence of Donetsk and Lugansk.
5. Demilitarisation of Ukraine and abandonment of weapons that could be a threat to the Kremlin.
6. Banning of ultra-nationalist parties and organisations in Ukraine.
