The Real Backdrop Nobody Will Discuss
Armstrong Economics ^ | 3/1/22 | Martin Armstrong

The only way to avoid World War III is to listen to both sides. The refusal to listen ensures that we will move into World War III, and this is not my opinion; unfortunately, our computer has never been wrong, for it is unbiased. It called BREXIT when nobody else did, and also forecast that Trump would win in 2016 when everyone thought that was impossible.

This time if our computer could hide under the covers in bed going into 2023, it would. We have the most incompetent crop of world leaders perhaps in human history, and the press is so anti-Putin that they are fueling hatred of all Russians which is vital to justify war. Not a single person will listen to both sides, and the people are being played as fools just as they were with COVID.

Putin’s speech has a lot of truth, for no dispute is ever just one-sided. The West has constantly moved eastward to the very borders of Russia. When Russia attempted to do the same to the USA by putting missiles in Cuba, we reached the brink of war, and only then did the world hold its breath and finally blinked. That crisis was avoided only because of a Russian who disagreed with his country’s propaganda, and risked his life and that of his family to save the world, for which he was punished. (see the Courier).

“Great article.”

Yeah, he went into such detail, showed such an immense knowledge of the story, and even talked about his personal experiences in parts of it. I have a whole new level of appreciation for this guy, and I’m going to pay a lot more attention to what he says.

I always wondered what would happen after. There would be a nuclear winter. Like going for a hike or skiing in the forest? Trees would be dead. Like hunting? Animals would be dead. Like fishing? The fish would be dead. Like to be around other people? They would all be dead.

Poland was on their border then. Belarus serves as the buffer state today. So no, with all off Poland’s armor and all of the rest of NATO’s to be quickly committed, NATO would still have to fight across 400 miles of Belarus to be in the same position Ukraine would be in from the get go. That is why Ukraine as a NATO member is so incredibly destabilizing. Again, NATO membership crazy talk from Belarus would put them in the same position Ukraine is in today.

Historically though I would feel a bit antsy having been swallowed by Germany or Russia over the centuries. Yeah, I just can’t get too worked up like everyone else around the world is. Seems to be the anti-Russian sentiment didn’t start until Hillary was losing the 2016 election. Everyone seemed to fine with Putin, even suggesting a reset of relations, then suddenly we are being told there are Russian trolls all over Facebook.

"Did the West constantly move Eastward, or did the former Soviet Satellite states move West?"

And the answer is obvious. The author asserting that the former is "the truth" tells you all you need to know. Having lived with the Soviet boot on their neck for a few decades, who could blame them? Apparently, Mr Armstrong thinks they should have stayed with Russia, like a battered wife staying with an abusive husband.

Pretty much a major nuclear exchange would eventually kill everything via the radiation. If Russia launched a full strike we wouldn’t even have to launch any retaliation. Russia would be dead in a few months.

Some insane hawkish types have tried to claim that a nuclear war is winnable. Sheer nonsense.

It is a crime to acknowledge that Russia has concerns that are legitimate to them. That makes it impossible to negotiate a compromise. This will not end well.

Zelenskyy does not rely on his misinformation. He knows the deep crap Ukraine is in. Those explosions with no shown commensurate damage were Ukraine’s military being blinded. Zelenskyy knows he’s running out of time and the shock and awe can be released whenever the Russians decide.

Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will be held tomorrow.
Lavrov outlined the negotiating position of the Russian Federation:

- The task of the operation in Ukraine is to identify specific types of strike weapons that will never be deployed there

- After the end of the conflict, Ukrainians themselves must decide how to live on

- Russia is ready to discuss the issue of security guarantees during the second round of negotiations with Ukraine

- Ukraine has the technical potential to create nuclear weapons, the Russian Federation will not allow it, Russia is 100% safe in the current situation

- The parameters of demilitarization of Ukraine have yet to be agreed

- Moscow will not discuss the topic of Crimea, this topic is closed

- The purpose of the ongoing operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine is to protect people, primarily in the Donbass

- Russias position in negotiations with Ukraine: Crimea is part of the Russian Federation, recognition of the DPR and LPR within administrative borders, demilitarization, which should have certain parameters

- Ukraine must undergo the denazification procedure, using post ww2 Germany as an example

- During the special operation, we are doing everything to prevent any serious civilian casualties

- Russia cannot stand by as the participants of torchlight processions marching under fascist, neo-Nazi banners in modern Europe

- Russia offers Ukraine an agreement that will ensure the legitimate rights of all the peoples of this country

- it appears that now Zelensky is already ready to recognize the Crimea and the LDPR within the borders ala Minsk. But of course, merely agreeing to the previously needed steps will not suit the Russian Federation, the sheepskin is not worth the dressing. Bearing significant costs for the operation and from the sanctions pressure, it is necessary to take the maximum possible result from the situation in Ukraine.”
The latest I could find….

Watch the West Elites when they go to their private islands or New Zealand. Then you know it is about to happen.

Even has the Russians on the other side.

I really appreciate the information. It could not have been more obvious that these LEGITIMATE security concerns were the reasons the Russians were forced to move. To date, they have performed this operation with much more restraint and loss of both civilian and opposing military personnel than an American 20 year long shock and awe utter destruction of a nation for the American security concern of phantom yellow cake uranium, in the hands of a poor third world nation 6000 miles away. I would assume the Nazis mentioned are Soros’ minions and the corrupt highest officials of two American administrations who were on parade in the Ukrainian crap show impeachment.

Never attribute to incompetence that which is adequately explained by malevolence.

If it were incompetence, sometimes the mistakes would be in our favor.

Interesting. Obviously the Russians wouldn’t be happy about this.

Where did you get access to the Russian negotiating position? Shockingly, it’s not readily available.

Thanks for posting this. Still trying to form a complete picture of this. Ignorance has never impeded my forming a firm opinion on anything.
