First it wasn’t rape rape, now it isn’t race race...
I’m seeing a pattern here.
From her Wiki....
...Caryn Elaine Johnson was born in Manhattan.......
Whoopi Johnson sounds pretty good at first. Until you really think about it.
She went off script.
She’s apologizing to the deep state.
...who btw were forced to write her excuse, err apology.
At least it was an actual apology, as opposed to the usual non-apology apology.
She meant that it was not about skin color, but that would have been too many words. And the rest of the nazi rationale went right over her head.
It's ironic that her real name is Caryn (KAREN) Johnson. But she appropriated a Jewish name.
No, it is a stage name. Her father was a Baptist preacher. She grew up in the projects in NYC.
The best I ever saw her look was when she hosted the Oscars in 1995. She can't help herself from mugging instead of just smiling, but the dress (which was actually a deep cranberry red) and her hair were great looks for her:
Well, he was a Democrat, so...
She used the race card to explain why she said what she said. Pathetic.
Fake, Self-Serving Apology Not Accepted.
It is the first time in my 70 yearlife that I have NOT accepted an apology.
Used to really like Whoopi Goldberg - didn’t know anything about her personally - but back then she just seemed to always give off a very positive, happy vibe like what you see in that picture you posted.
Compare that to her demeanor since joining The View - perpetually miserable and negative.
“Whoopie the Hut does have a certain ring to it.”
I’ll be stealing that one!
I watched the whole thing. It made me remember how much I loved her comedy when she was young, before she became so left-wing, bitter and resentful.
Look at the intelligence of this woman, and how she has since wasted it. Who hurt her that badly? Who took away all her opportunities, denied her money and forbid her to live large and dine where she pleases? Who forced her to gain weight, lose her looks, and stop trying to love?
One of the hardest things about being a minority is that when people are unkind to you, you think it's because of you. But it's not. It's because of them, and there is a certain percentage of "them" in every walk of life, every race. But when you enshrine your bitternesses as a minority, often you don't realize that "they" are just a-holes, and they are like that to their own people as well; so just keep going and look around you at the people who are not like that.
Bitterness is its own reward.
Sometimes it is really wise to stop and consider what you say before making a fool of yourself.
She apologized on this one, but there was no lesson learned from this on her part I would guess.
The need to chime in with the group think ignorance of the left is just too strong and she has a platform to keep on yapping.
The staff on the View have one thing in common limited logic and long winded.
You know your a loser when you watch that program just a rerun of a Biden speech.
I think her abortions...six or seven by the age of twenty five...really worked on her mind. It’s something that anyone that gets an abortion has to deal with. That is the societal cost of Rie vs.. Wade. Turning potential young mothers into murderers, and letting them resolve that in the ensuing years. Whoopi wasn’t stupid as a young woman. Like any lib, I think she has to resolve contradictions in her beliefs, and it results in crazy-making cognitive dissonance.
The power of sincere repentance, and true belief that Jesus died for our sins, would go a long way...
A search shows that her father is/was a clergyman, and that she’s Catholic. Probably just works to conflict her further. We’ve all seen the extent to which leftist Catholics embrace abortion.
Long before the View I saw her window shopping on the street here in the Yorkville district of Toronto. I was never a fan or anything and I never approached her. In fact I crossed to the other side of the street IIRC. She was just one of those celebs I thought best to avoid completely.
