All employees who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 please email or send me your CV19 vaccination card.
All companies will be required to maintain records of vaccination to determine who will be required to have weekly COVID-19 testing, so that we are in compliance with the law.
While we are not mandating that everyone has to be vaccinated, but in order for employees to remain employed you will have to be vaccinated or have weekly testing administered here onsite.
Employers are required to start getting in compliance by January 11, 2022 and should have everything in place by February 9, 2022.
Thanks HR Director
Not sure who is picking up the cost for testing, employer or employee? But in the long run the employee always pays.
We are a labor intensive company and my guess over half are not vaccinated. This could leave a mark. Buckle up.
there is no law
update your resume and look for other work
I would cut grass for a living before I subjected myself to weekly testing or the jab.
No room for natural immunity?
Company overreach. No law, no regulation, no way.
I would be strongly inclined to respond that I am unaware of any legal authority requiring me to divulge my personal medical records to them, and refer them to my attorney, after consulting with him first.
The routine testing of unvaccinated employees with no symptoms is just plain stupid. Employers will now have to give healthy employees a paid week off to “quarantine” for every false positive. Meanwhile, the “vaccinated” employees are just as likely to come down with whatever virus is going around.
For clarity, what state, county, city do you live in and is this a private company, government organization, federal or state contractor?
QUESTION:
Are the swabs pure or tainted?
2nd thought...
Since half are unvaxxed, could you strike until the request is pulled.
I wouldn't go that far but where are you going to get tested in the first place on a weekly basis? The testing centers are overloaded and backed up as well and you simply cannot get a test in time. Secondly, why don't the vaccinated need to get tested? They have equal or sometimes greater viral loads than unvaccinated and spread COVID just as easily.
Pitt County, NC. We are a private owned company as as far as I know have no federal contracts.
My wife works for the state and a few weeks back they required proof of vaccination, but have since walked that back.
If it's an "At Will" state, you might not have any choice.
What law?
Chapter, verse?
Regards,
The OSHA Emergency temporary standard (ETS) is sort of tied-up.
The 5th Circuit "struck it down," but multiple cases including those decided by the 5th, were consolidated into the 6th Circuit. The 6th Circuit upheld the rule. OSHA now has the power to mandate vaccines and other medical treatment -- including, I suppose, rules that prohibit working while under a fever or runny nose.
SCOTUS is taking up this case, with oral argument on January 7th (I might be off a day or two there).
My sense is that in the court's eyes, it is not a question of whether or not the federal government has this power, it is "which agency" is the holder of the power. With that mind set, I would think that limiting the power to one agency would not be a smart move. If the feds have the power, then ANY federal agency is competent to issue the rule.
My kid works for a government contractor and is forced to do this as part of his religious exemption.
Just to be a bit of sand in the machinery, he sends the report as an encrypted file.
The 6th circuit court lifted the stay, this is being repealed in the Supreme Court now.
My company is pushing for vaccine status also. They indicated they plan to accommodate people who do not get the vaccine. They will pay for testing with time to get tested.
Full time remote workers only require testing if they are coming in for a meeting.
Just tell them you are vaxxed but you don’t want to send your card
There is NO LAW................Congress hasn't passed one....................
