Do you have great knowledge of Indian history in NA?
If so can you recommend any books that cover a lot in scope to give a good intro of Indian tribes and histories? Doesn’t need to be realnin depth, just solid topical.
Always curious about this. I only know a very few things.
My maternal ancestor Rev John Rhodes (Roads), his wife and thirteen children were attacked by Indians in Page county, Virginia in 1764. He was a Christian pacifist (no weapons) and was friendly with the local Indians who did betray him for money. He and many of his children were murdered, two of his older sons were taken, one stayed and one escaped years later. It is an interesting historical story. The attack was brutal and bloody and for nothing more than to rob him.
they were killing each other over land long before we got here
Then some businessmen sold them firewater and guns ... might have prolonged things.
Didn’t read the article but skipping the Thanksgiving meme, settlers, minding their own business, in the middle of nowhere, were wiped out, women & children taken, stock slaughtered, etc.
It was us against them. We won. ;-)
What a big, fat, ugly, drama queen liar.
The actions of those “European Colonizers” led to the creation of the greatest country in the history of mankind, and YOU to be elected to it’s vice-presidency, DESPITE the fact that you are NOT a natural born citizen within the meaning of Article II, section one, clause 5, OR the 12th amendment of the US Constitution!
Haven’t you heard…Indians didn’t wage war! They we’re sitting the tp singing kumbaya.
Are you still breathing? 😂🤣
Yeah, because they weren’t already warring with and enslaving one another before the Europeans arrived. The white people made them do all of that.
What were they doing over here for 30,000 years? If they had gotten around to discovering the wheel they might have been better prepared for contact with Europeans.
