As the research indicates, those infected were of older age cohorts. The authors also note their research:
“ This nosocomial outbreak exemplifies the high transmissibility of the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant among twice vaccinated and masked individuals. This suggests some waning of immunity, albeit still providing protection for individuals without comorbidities. However, a third vaccine dose may be needed, particularly in individuals with risk factors for severe COVID-19. Appropriate use of masks, especially in high-risk settings is advised.”

Also from the research:
“This communication… challenges the assumption that high universal vaccination rates will lead to herd immunity and prevent COVID-19 outbreaks… In the outbreak described here, 96.2% of the exposed population was vaccinated. Infection advanced rapidly (many cases became symptomatic within 2 days of exposure), and viral load was high.”
Lends more credence to theories that it’s not transmitted through the air. Fecal-to-oral is a proven transmission path for other diseases - why not COVID? We know that the virus is showing up at sewage treatment plants.

we used the term ‘nosocomial’ to mean acquired disease in Hospital.
Of the 23 cases charted only two were unvaccinated, both had MILD symptoms, and neither died. One in the 50-59 age group, the other in the 80-89 age group. Interesting...
