UK Thang was identified as the gunman who shot 15 people, one fatally, at a Kroger grocery store in Collierville, Tennessee.
Collierville Police Chief Dale Lane confirmed in a news conference that the gunman shot multiple people. There are at least 15 victims, with two dead, including the gunman, he said. The other victims are stable.
Thang was 29 years old and shot and killed himself at the scene. Police declined to give his name in a news conference, but they released it to the news media afterwards, according to the Daily Memphian.

Victims are now in stable condition. Hopefully all will survive. Many were employees of the store.
Thang was found dead at the back of the store, not in his car as originally reported.
This type of crime is almost always connected to SSRIs. The more you send people to shrinks, the more violence you will see. It pays.

That’s the name the police gave. They did not say if it was his initials, or he went by his initial, we just don’t know. That looks like it may be a Vietnamese name so maybe UK is actually a first name in that language.

Doesn’t say, but if he was of Vietnamese ancestry there were a LOT of Vietnamese who fled communism in the 1970’s and wound up in the Memphis area. So he could have been the son of immigrants, or even a grandson. Chances are he was American.

The reason is because those on the meds are usually violent and sick in the mind in the first place, with or without the meds. It could be that without the meds, violent acts would be much more common. Hard to prove a negative though. The only,way really,is to compare how many violent acts sick people commit off meds, compared to on meds, and see if there is a reduction.

Collierville is a suburb of Memphis. It's somewhat uncommon for Collierville itself to get hit like this, but go 10 miles and you'll find stuff going on that'll give Chicago a run for it's money any night of the week.
