Brook’s work was never really designed for the big screen. That didn’t reach enough people and TV was censured to his product. However, I still see Blazin’ Saddles, Young Frankenstein and Space Balls in the line up on a number of different stations. All are sexual, racial, and religiously challenging to an audience in that they spoof topics in such a way that they are not aggressive but realistic and provide a step back approach, refreshing to the problems we are being attacked with today.
And let’s face it, almost anything within our limited taught capacity can be humorous. And he((, you’ve got to laugh at something even if it includes yourself. And sometimes needs to.
