The mass arrival of Afghan invaders, many in need of medical care, wreaked havoc on Northern Virginia’s hospital system — prompting a regional emergency response group to assume oversight after one hospital became overwhelmed with patients and federal officials lost track of where some Afghans were hospitalized.
Area leaders have been asking the Biden administration to pay for the mounting cost of keeping track of the hospitalized evacuees and for giving them rides back to the Dulles Expo Center — where they have been temporarily housed.

However, I don’t believe the article says that they are overloading the system with COVID cases. Probably health issues they have lived with for years and could never get treatment for.
Now they are in the US and getting premier care for FREE, cause you know they aren’t going to pay for it. Might as well get all those little issues taken care of now.
But it’s still being portrayed as overloaded from COVID cases buy unvaxxed American citiznes (read: conservatives).

My wife’s sister and family from Northern Virginia are coming to visit us next week. Pure Democrat voters. I may have to bring up this event to them and see what happens.
